These ties line up well with rafter to top plate. Nail hole positions are just right to prevent splitting wood.

I feel like “Tim Allen” inspired this over the top...
I feel like “Tim Allen” inspired this over the top job on a pole barn lawn equipment shed. If the winds blow, the equipment may go but the Simpson Hurricane Ties will at least keep the roof on. Easy way to “fix” the roof in place.
