Kari in kitchen designs is a breath of fresh air! She has a good personality, cares about her job and knows her stuff. No days they're bad apples everywhere and it's not home depot's fault they have a few at the Alton store but people like Kari and a few other good employees there is why we keep coming back! To the employees that offer to help and or just a good attitude, you are very much appreciated. Including some picks of our flooded house before and after from mostly bought at home Depot goods, hopefully we can eventually get that kitchen Kari designed for us because she's the reason why we chose her design. And cost, can't leave that part out.

Definitely the last time I’m going to this store. Waited 45 mins for them to pull down 2 garage doors that would “take 10-15 mins”. Complicated by the forklift driver banging up the box for one of the doors because it was not lined up properly…along with one of the forks of the forklift catching on the metal shelving which he pushed through until the fork popped & the 2 garage doors went airborne as other employees came over to check on the driver. Ended up getting one that was elsewhere in the store which the employee volunteered to “manhandle” since he didn’t have a 2nd person and it’s a 125 lb door. The bottom box that was banged up & then smacked down after going airborne they put on the shelf anyways since we didn’t want it with the expected damage inside & 1-2 ft gash in it. Finally, they scratched up the truck when loading & dented the tailgate.

I bought a one gallon Ryobi One+ sprayer on Memorial Day. It is a nice product and worked very well spraying the weeds in my yard. I shop Home Depot often for the Ryobi tools they carry.

I understand the unfortunate need for locking up power tools. When I couldn’t find someone to open the gate, Dade went the extra mile to not only look for someone, but when he couldn’t find anyone, found someone who could give him the combination and the process to help me get my tool. Dade carried it up to the cashier and wished me a very good day. Great employees like that are the reason I will be back at the Alton Home Depot.

Zachery in the lawn & garden department helped me tremendously today, he calculated out how many bags of bedding soil I needed and loaded it all for me and directed me to the correct plants I needed, he even greeted me when I entered the area, which made me feel I could ask him questions ( instead of him ignoring me as I entered so I wouldn’t ask any questions) very smart friendly young man. And in conversation he mentioned he had only been there 3 days, imagine that! He deserves a big shout out and employee of the week, so if you need help in lawn & garden look for Zachery I sure will!!!

We have bought appliances. Carpet, hardware, lumber, and doors We have always been 100% satisfied.

This store is All-American!

I like that the Alton store (and probably others) have the water softener salt right by the checkout lanes. When I buy salt I am usually only at HD for that item and it is very convenient where they have the racks. Good job, Alton HD.

All the employees were extremely friendly to my dog and to me.

We started using the Alton Home Depot for all our painting needs. Seems like the other companies always have some body new mixing paint and keep changing their mixing system. We have dealt with Dale and Chester at the Alton Home Depot, both know their paint and are friendly and helpful.

We always have a good shopping experience when we go here. Associates ask if we need help finding stuff when we're there. Plus they're all very nice. I love coming to this Home Depot. Keep up the great shopping experience!!

Nice store - helpful, friendly employees. Congratulations! You now have three checkout lanes with additional employees near the checkout area and throughout the store. Bravo! You closed those darn self-checkout (5-finger discount) lanes. I hope you set a positive example for other stores to do the same.

Home Depot does not make you jump through hoops to get your military discount. Show your ID and they scan it and done!

Alton always has great customer service and always has what I need in stock. Highly recommend!

The customer service in this place hasn’t got any better. We had a bad experience a couple weeks ago with not being able to get help in this store and again today no one would help us with loading our matériels. Yet they could lean against the building and stare at us. At this point I believe the associate is purposely not helping. What a poor representation of customer service here.

They wasted over 50 minutes of our time while the kids and the manager debated on loading our wood with a fork lift or hand loading it. Another customer ended up helping us hand stack all of the wood on to our trailer because this Home Depot doesn’t believe in helping customers.

Great store wish that you could build on closer to us like Litchfield, Ill or Springfield, Ill
