How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a truck or moving van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before choosing a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too.
