Great store and friendly as well as helpfull employees

I visit this store a lot, because of it's close proximity to me. I have just gotten used to the overall acceptance of how the store is run, but that doesn't make it a good store. Usually the store can be quite uneventful in that no one approaches you while you are standing there looking like you are lost. I don't know if it makes a big difference as to what time of the day, but from my standpoint, maybe the middle of the week and around mid day, seems to be about the best time for me. I do appreciate the fact, that they don't move a lot of stuff around like other big name stores and can usually find it without any help, but sometimes you do need help, and that's always the predicament. I know sometimes you will run into a very knowledgeable associate that will more times than not get you in the right direction and help you achieve more of what you didn't think you needed to get the job done. Which is always a good thing in not having to come back time and time again.. This time is the store I did see employees gathered around an area and that is not ever any good. Especially when I had to go over and "break up the discussion" so to speak to get some help. The store is usually very clean as there is a floor sweeper going around and making sure all isles are clean with walkways clear. I don't always enjoy coming here, because I end up spending more than I had originally intended to.

Store is well stocked with clear aisles. Everyone is always helpful and willing to find someone to help if they don’t know the answer to our questions. We usually come to the Sterling store for our needs.

All the Employees are Great and Very Helpful, Awesome Store !

If you need to get something off the shelf, you will probably be okay. IF you need help from someone...you will be disappointed. There are many staff but they aren't excited to help and most are clueless.

Customer service at the Sterling Home Depot was excellent! Ask for James. He was awesome!

I've always shopped here for home projects, since they opened. Always friendly, willing to help. Other stores in this town could take lessons from the employees at home depot. Hats off to home depot.

The Customer Service I received today was above average for sure!!

Staff here are very friendly and helpful. I do wish the store had later open hours, this is the closest HD store near us and it takes us an hour to get there. By the time we get off of work and to your store we often only have 15-30mins to get our shopping done. If you were open even one hour later it would allow us to shop in a less stressed and rushed manner and we'd likely spend more money. We often only have time to shop for our business and skip/put off personal shopping for when we have more time. Additionally, we often run into circumstance where the store is out of stock or does not carry some of the items that the bigger HD stores like Loveland & Fort Collins stores carry. I just wish it were a bigger store like that. I

The staff was friendly, courteous, and went above and beyond to be helpful. I was getting bags of mulch and they were all busy. I had no problem doing it myself, but one of the employees finished with another customer and sped over to help me get them on the cart, went back to what he had been doing when I said I was fine getting the cart to the front to check out, and then materialized at my side again as I checked out to take the bags out and load them in the car for me. He easily could have continued with the work he was engaged in instead of helping, especially as I had told him I was fine with handling it. I was very impressed with the service!

The lumber yard is a mess and it takes So long to check out. The pro desk doesn't have a scan gun that will read a business card the pour guys have to manually enter the numbers and if they make a mistake entering all 1000 numbers on the card they have to start all over. All of this while you wait just so you can pay and get back to work.

if you go make sure you have extra time to stand in line to pay.

Do not drive into the lumber yard it is a mess it is faster to fill two or three carts and push them to the parking lot.

The staff was very friendly but what I was searching for was not stocked on the shelves. I had to wait a half hour for them to find the item that I was looking for. I think their needs to be more organization with overstock to make it easier to find. They should continually stock shelves when inventory is low otherwise they will miss out on opportunities to sell product.

Great store, with a friendly home town feel and knowlegeable associates.

It doesn't matter what section of the store I go to, whether the garden, electrical, paint, flooring, lighting or the lumber section, I am always courteously and professionally greeted and assisted. Whether I need a nubbin, a doo-hickey or a thingamajig, the staff are helpful and oftentimes offer an idea or suggestion better than the one I walked in with!

this store in Sterling has a very small town atmosphere and they always try and offer to help. and usually no matter what area they work in they can usually tell you where something is found

I like having the Home Depot. They usually have what I need at a good price. They try hard to keep you as a customer.

I was impressed by the selection of items available which saved me time from going to several different places in Sidney Ne. to locate all my materials.

Store clerk was Audrey in appliances and was very helpful

Over the past 5 years we have been remodeling our 1954 cottage home. The management and employees at this store have many times gone over board in helping us obtain the materials we have needed to accomplish the task at hand. They warmly greet us when we enter the store. They provide expert assistance when needed. The store is clean and well organized. I can find what I need or are helped to locate it. Even though this is a smaller store for Home Depot the service and materials provided make this our go to place to shop for materials. The one thing that would really help would be allowing this store to be a tool rental outlet. It is a service that is badly needed here locally. Additionally, a short term rental trailer or small truck to deliver materials would be great as well. Otherwise could not ask for a better materials home center....we look forward to continuing our shopping experience at our Home Depot!

Built a house in Sterling area. I was living in Minnesota at the time. Ordered cabinets etc for new construction and Christi rocked it! Design, customer service, dedication. She would email me, come in and aided me in this purchase. Most communication was email and she knocked it out of the park. Keep her, train her to management. She is what great employees are made of. I own a business with over 200 employees. Christie in kitchen design is made of the fabric of great employees who ride for the brand!

Hands down the best home depot in the country and there employees 2nd to no others great job people!!

I had excellent help in the kitchen design, ordering cabinets, etc. I want to commend Tom Proctor for his patience, and the time he took to explain all the different products, and types of materials, etc. He was very helpful

Would like to say that associates Joe and Gregg @ the Sterling Co. Store were both very very helpful we will go back and for any other shopping and will recommend them to our friend and anyone we see.

We was very impressed. We was greeted at the door and asked how he could help right away. The associate made us feel very comfortable in all our shopping and got all Items that we wanted and we would recommend him to anyone else that shops there he was very friendly and helpful. The store was clean while walking around and really enjoyed the friendliness and very helpful knowledge that our associate gave to us.

The Sterling store is always clean and orderly, the employees are always willing to help and know where items are located in the store and are friendly. We were able to get assistance quickly and easily and were in and out of the store in a timely manner.
