On 9/7/20 I entered the home depot around 2:45 pm wearing black shorts and a black t shirt. I asked the 2 employees in the lumber dept if they had anymore 1x6x8 boards since the rack was empty. I explained that according to the internet they had over 200 in stock. Devin explained that they did not have any and you cannot go by what it says online. Devin explained that it is the managers fault for not fixing the inventory. Devin then went back to unpacking something else with Michael, without ever attempting to locate the product that I requested. Within 1 minute I found the product myself the next aisle over. Sku ending in 770, pallet of 224 boards. I approached Devin and Michael and asked if either of the could use a forklift. They asked “why, what do you need?” I again explained that I needed the 1x6x8s that they have over 200 of. They asked..” oh, you found them?” I explained yup pallet is the next aisle over and I pointed to it. You could actually see it from where we were standing through the racks. I explained sku ends in 770 labelled as 224 boards. They said ok we will find someone to get it down. They both walked toward the back of the store together because apparently it takes 2 people to find 1 person and the aisle will magically close itself off for safety. I went over to pick out a door win millwork. A short while later i could hear a fork truck running. I returned to the lumber dept. I observed Devin and Michael open up the aisles and escort the forklift driver out of the aisle that the 1x6x8 pine board pallet was in. The pallet was not on the ground in that aisle so I went to look where it is supposed to be on the shelf the next aisle over. It also was not there. I returned to the 2x main lumber aisle and discovered the pallet I wanted to still be in the overhead storage. I saw Michael walking away. I yelled toward him,” hey what happened?” Michael said what do you mean? I said my pallet is still up top. Michael said “oh did he take down the wrong one” now there were no new pallets on the ground of this aisle. Period. I said i saw you just open this aisle and drive the forktruck away without getting my pallet. Devin was walking back toward us. Michael went to Devin and explained “he (me the customer) wants to know why we didnt get the pallet. Devin explained to me” ya we dont have any of those” I said are you kidding me? I found them for you and showed you exactly where it was with the sku number and the labelled quantity, you closed down the aisles, brought the fork truck in and didnt do anything” they said “ ohh um we will get somebody to take it down. I said “ yup thats what you said 20 minutes again. I then asked Michael to get me the manager because these 2 did not know how to do there jobs. Michael explained to me that they do know how to do there jobs just refuse to do it. As a former Home Depot employee, I could never imagine treating a customer this way. They told me they did not have the product and the online inventory was over 200 pieces off because the manager didnt fix it. They explained thos without ever attempting to look for it. I found the product myself and showed them where it was. They got help. Shut down the aisles and still never got my product. Devin again lied to my face snd told me that they did not have the product in stock, after I showed him where it was. He at least said it in my direction. Hard to tell if he was looking at me or not. Devin has an extremely unprofessional appearance wearing a winter hat and sunglasses indoors in the summer. I assume it helps him In avoiding the “customer service” portion of his job. After a 45 minute ordeal of being lied to by the laziest employees I have ever seen, I finally got my product and cashed out at the register at 3:39pm with a very nice cashier named Angela. In the mean time, I did speak with the ASM on duty about the situation. This was the biggest disregard for doing ones job I have ever seen. Pull the cameras and read this review. You will find it to be 100% accurate. Unprofessional attitude and appearance displaying nothing but laziness. How many lost sales have these 2 created by simply blowing off customers. They attempted to blow me off twice, even after I showed them exactly where it was they still told me they did not have any. Its amazing these 2 still have a job. There are no other professions where you can act like this. 2 young kids who have no idea what responsibility or work ethic are.

Carts don’t look sanitize as you have to get them from the parking lot clearly touched by thousands of people. More improvement can make this store a good place to shop!

Do not go to this store if you intend on paying in cash or have product questions. I have gone here several times and because I prefer to pay cash I end up waiting because there is only one cash register out of 8 that accepts cash. Never mind that the customer in front of you at the cash only machine is using a credit card-it does not matter there is an extra wait time for cash customers. Cashiers are not helpful. Business is obviously so good now that the store management and employees have decided they will only accomodate customers they feel like accomodating. You need a bull horn to get anyone in the store to answer questions about products. I was in an aisle talking to another customer who was waiting like I was for any store associate to walk by or even be seen-after 15 minutes I gave up. Bought what I think will meet my needs. When I went to pay for my purchase found an assoiciate guiding customers to different registers to pay for their purchases. I asked them to if they could help me and they said they would call someone and after 10 more minutes I gave up waiting. I was going to leave my purchase in the aisle because I was so frusted with this treatment but I wanted to complete my home project and just paid and left. What is Home Depot going to do when business slows down.
