Not organized store and Customer service is very very bad

Best Home Depot in Illinois

I stood for forty minutes trying to purchase a shed. I had a coupon for a percentage off. It was not honored. I am entitled to a military discount. It was not honored. When I got home, as I left in a huff and failed to check the order, I noticed that they got the order wrong. Now I have to waste time going back to straighten that out. Home Depot is ignoring the science on masks and I stood for a long time wearing a mask, which made me feel uncomfortable and combined with the other issues, unwelcome as a customer.

I enjoy shopping at our neighborhood Home Depot. The aisles are well stocked and the employees are welcoming and helpful.

We have shopped this store since it was set up with with company management years ago and over the years service has been maintained at the level! Can't say that about many businesses! The greeter connected me to the department manager who assisted me to the outside display and I found the tractor I was looking for . He then turned me over to Peter who processed the transaction and I was out the door in 15 minutes with next day delivery set up. Peter courteously handled 3 phone calls while processing this!

Exceptional customer service!!! Store is always very clean and it is easy to find what you are looking for. Not hard to find an associate for help or advice. Never a wait at checkout and always an employee there to assist at the self checkouts.

Scott,l was very helpful and friendly in the garden department. He helped me load my car up with heavy edgestone and appreciated that greatly. There where two other young men that also helped me in the garden area loading my cart with edgestone.

Horrible customer service by the cashier named Jean at the Returns counter! She herself did not know the return policy and was giving an “attitude” to customer. Please have the employees learn the return policy BEFORE putting them in Returns!!

I am so fortunate to have this Home Depot literally 3 miles from where I live and believe me....that has come in handy more than I care to admit in the past 15 years I've lived in Bartlett. I'm fortunate to be an only child raised by a very handy father. As a result I do a lot of home repair projects and not once has any of the Home Depot personnel treated me as if I had no idea what I was doing because I wasn't a man or a professional. THAT means a lot to me and speaks well of the store and staff.

I usually do not complete surveys like this, but I felt compelled to do so because I felt your employee made me feel so welcomed at your store. I go to this Home Depot rather frequently, as well as other home improvement stores, but this was the first time EVER that an employee has made me feel so happy to walk into your store. It was around 9:30 in the morning. I came to make some quick returns, and headed to get a cart from one of the stalls. It wasn’t much different than my usual trips, HOWEVER, this time, one of your employees (Tom H.) stopped and said “Hey, I see you here a lot, what’s your name? I’m Tom.” In all honesty, it felt pretty awesome. I’m just a regular homeowner, DIY kind of person, not a contractor, and that really made me feel so darn welcome at your store. I also have to say, that I could tell that he was very respectful and conscious of the current 6-foot social distancing desires by most individuals, even as he helped me unload two doors from my car. So, I just felt the need to tell you how awesome of an employee Tom H. is and that I truly hope to see him again at your store.

Never have enough cashiers, hard to find someone willing to help you, lots of people (employees) standing around socializing and you have to hunt them down when you need help.

This is my Home Depot location of choice- always has the best selection of plants throughout the summer and the best holiday decor (garland, etc.) each holiday season. I find the staff to be very well trained and they really know the store well.

Nice store and selection, but as with most big box stores wish team members were friendlier.

The parking lot needs another entrance off of Rt 59.

Not only do they have the greatest variety of products for the home and yard, the prices are competitive, they stand behind their products if need to return or exchange, their personnel always polite and helpful. It's a great place, so glad they exist in this day and age for the general public, no matter the age, ability or economic level of we customers. We're lucky.

I can't seem to find any policy about masks or social distancing for Home Depot anymore...but it seems the stores are taking a cavalier approach. Workers were not wearing the mask properly and numerous people (customers) were seen with out them at all. This is really unacceptable. This is not about "freedom" or "choice" it is about life and death. Your competitor (Menards) had no problem stepping up to the plate and enforcing masks, why is it that HD can't do the same? This is very disheartening and makes me look for products I would get at HD, elsewhere.

2 store employees not wearing mandatory face coverings? And one was talking to the front end manager.

You will see customers shopping inside the store without face covers. Management should take measures to protect employees and customers. The employees at that location are great. I feel bad they have to deal with people that don’t follow CDC guidelines

Garbage stupid rules with entrances.

Mike was unbelievable and helpful! Very knowledgeable and patient with me when making my decision on buying a grill! The whole staff here has always been great! It is honestly the beat Home Depot I’ve ever been to from a customer service stand point, and nothing has changed with the new conditions everyone is working through. Thank you for everything you do every day!

This is a great store. Always have what I am looking for. Employees are helpful and courteous and the store is well stocked and kept clean and organized.
