Excellent customer service, helpful and friendly

I made a comment to the guy at checkout about how bad the checkout situation is at this location, and he told me to submit a review, so here it is. I'm not sure how this location stays open. It is very rare to find an associate that wants to help, and when you actually find someone, the reluctance to help really shows, almost to the point of being berated for even asking for help. The paint department staff (all of them) are terrific. The guy in hardware is pretty good with helping out too. Some employees will help, even if it isn't their department, but most will try to avoid you when they see the look of confusion on your face - oh yeah, you make eye contact, looks like you have a question, and immediate turn down the quickest aisle exit - yeah you know what I mean. Checkout is a pain. Self checkout? Sure. I'm not sure if this is a pilot program at this location, or if this is Home Depot wide, but this isn't a grocery store folks. It takes twice as long to check out than it did to find an item - plan on a three hour trip to this location just to buy some nails. Not sure which nails to buy? Don't bother asking anyone because when you do find someone to help, the chances of them knowing anything about the products they are selling are slim to none, and slim just left town. There are a ton of employees congregating around the checkout area, but zero at the pro desk checkout. No barcode on the item? No problem, drop everything you've already scanned and head back to the aisle to find one with the barcode - repeat steps above. Horrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. Perhaps the store is understaffed and overworked, but that comes down to management of the store I suppose.

Went to self check out And I needed help because I had to verify my age for a can of spray paint .I asked diamond for assistance . And Diamond in a rude tone asked what I wanted and why I was bothering her She smelled like weed was super high

Lisa Malta in the design department was excellent! Her attention to detail and deep knowledge of Home Depot's products made my custom designed Laundry/Lavatory a breeze. She was quick to suggest options that she thought I would like and spent the time it took to get it right the first time. She never made me feel rushed about my choices.

The five stars are for Lisa in the cabinet area. You want Lisa if you are planning to design a kitchen, bath, laundry or mud room. She will respect your ideas, your research and provide suggestions. As for the rest of the store - well, I am not happy with the self check out. Keep the lights bright in the store, keep the floors clean and the merchandise organized. And above all greet people like you do, look them in the eye and offer assistance. But again, Lisa in the cabinet design area is professional and knowledgeable - about the software, the offers, the product. And if challenged, she is not afraid to find the right answer. thank you!

Products are well laid according to their category. All employees are friendly & helpful. Prices are competitive.

Great customer service and professional service

SO FREAKING ANGRY THAT THE CLERK FORGOT TO PUT 1 OF MY ITEMS IN MY BAG. GET ALL THE WAY HOME(I STAY IN ANOTHER CITY) JUST TO FIND OUT THE 1 THING I ACTUALLY CAME TO HOME DEPOT FOR WAS MISSING!!!!!!!!! The clerk agreed that its there. I AM TRULY INCONVENIENCED BY THIS INCIDENT!

My reason for a fair to poor rating is the way this store has changed. You have to hunt around to find help in some departments and then they have you ring up your purchases. They don't even have a line with a cashier except for the one in the contractors area. where did the cashiers go? Are you saving so much money by letting people ring up their own items? Are they steeling from you because you are not there to see what they are ringing up? What happen to the days of personal service and the willingness to take care of the customer? Why have people standing around the check out area to show you how to ring up your purchase? Just ring it up for me and put it in a bag.

overall my expierence was terrible and would never reccomened anyone to this store. store management was zero, associates smelled like alcohol. there were no department personal to help. the only help I got was from an associate named Torin and he was very helpful. I hated my expierence in this store. I hope they close this location soon. never had a worse shopping expierence in my life. I hope they fire all the managers and get ones that know how to run a store wright.

The customer service was beyond excellent! Jewell provided prestige service in assisting me with flooring. She was very knowledgeable about the products, explained to me what to expect before my installation, and how to contact individuals at the store if I had any questions. Superb! I wish other Home Depot store employees were as awesome as Jewell!

they took out all the manned check outs and replaced them all with self checkout. Bad idea. I'll be shopping at other home improvement stores that properly staff their checkouts with real people.

Even though I was lost in the store because not 1 but 2ppl gave me the wrong location for my item..... Kim came thru with the ultimate save with the correct location and a super fast check out.

Store was clean and well organized and filled with staff. Unfortunately not one interacted with me. I used the HD app to locate what I needed and found it without issue, but it disheartened me that no one said “hello” or “thanks”. I used the automated checkout and mistakenly double scanned an item. I brought it to the clerks attention and she responded quickly but never made eye contact or responded to my thanks. Service is dead, and I find it sad. I know staff training is expensive and would hurt HD stock, so I’m sure it won’t happen, but I’d love to see associates that appreciate customers. I could go on but what’s the point....
