Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too.
