As a woman in a wheelchair, I often get ignored in "men's domain stores." Not so with my experience at Home Depot. I do my own murals, tiling, gardening, painting, and anything else I set my mind to. I appreciated the service I got in each department I shopped and triple so at check out. Maybe because three of the five who helped me were women, but the guys went out of their way to help. They could have ignored me, but others do. I even had my 30-ish son with me, but right now, his arm is injured. It was not a visible injury, but they offered assistance anyway. It was the most pleasant shopping trip I have had in years at any type of store.

When I shop at this Home Depot location in Gurnee, IL 60031, I feel like family works there. Always friendly, helpful, and answer any questions I ask in a professional manner. The store is always clean and safe.

Amy was very kind and patient and knew about products we were searching for range and matching fridge.

We purchased a Magic Chef undercounter wine cooler on-line. We picked it up from HD in Gurnee on the 17 October and did not have it installed to 3 Nov. Upon opening the box, we noticed damage to the cooler and we immediately returned it to HD. The customer service I received was remarkable and the Customer Service rep, Ms. Jayla was the shining example of how any customer interaction should occur. I have heard stories of problems with returning products, however, with HD i have never experienced any such act. Many are quick to write review with negative information, but, I want to write one of a THUMBS UP to HD-Gurnee Customer Service department.

Fast, friendly, organized, well stocked, huge selection, the whole store is easy on the eyes.

The John Deere S160 lawn tractor is performing excellent. I am so glad to have it in our fleet.

I bought rooms blind, and I am so happy to buy those from Home Depot it was a perfect size and color.

I went in to inquire about window film and the associate that I approached was very rude and condescending. He clearly seemed bothered that I had interrupted him while he was looking at his cell phone. He pointed to the product and told me it was "over there" and happily pawned me off to another associate for help. When I was done picking my product, I calmly approached him later and inquired about the service that he'd just provided. He continued to sit in his chair, rocking back and forth with his hands and cell phone in his lap) and rather than take accountability for what I expressed, politely, to him, preferred to go toe-to-toe with me in a battle of wits. His customer service skills aren't lacking - they were non-existent! The only saving grace was the employee that he pushed me over to who happily helped and was patient. I asked for his name and he told me it was "D". I clearly noted the name on his badge and repeated what he said while he peered at me certainly, intentionally, not wanting to tell me his real name. About him, I called for and complained to a store manager who said they'd address the matter with him. While I think he was sincerely apologetic for the experience, I am writing corporate to let them know exactly what was said, what happened, and what kind of person they have working for them and manning a specialty sales desk. Never have I encountered such a poor attitude from anyone in customer service. This was unacceptable. Thankfully, it isn't my Home Store. I would not deal with him again.

Employees where fantastic,very helpfull!!

The Supervisor Mr. Phil (Gurnee store) was awesome, which is a word I hardly used. He was very helpful all the way and made my project work out very well. A decent, polite human being! Who knows how to treat a customer and I believe people in general. I hope this feedback gets to his manager. Wish there were more Mr. Phils throughout the Home Depot and all other stores!!!

Purchased "Great Stuff" foam insulation.

Came in to buy some power tools. Extremely fast to get help from Adam. Estrella was quick to get me through check out.

I was planning on paying more on a project I was working on and the Homedepot worker was able to problem solve some delemas I was having and made a better suggestion so I could better complete my project more efficiently and at the same time save me money.

Dorothy Taylor - Flooring Specialist - was pleasant to work with, answered all our questions and helped us through the process.

I recently had the extreme pleasure of being waited on by a young man by the name of Alex at the Vernon Hills, Illinois, Home Depot. He was very efficient, friendly and helpful and he offered, and did, load my car for me with the mulch that I had purchased from the garden center. As a senior citizen I greatly appreciated that and would certainly look for him again to check me out next time I shop there. In fact, later on I walked into the store and purchased something else and he waited on me again and was again very friendly. Kudos to him!

spent approx 1.5 hours looking to purchase outdoor lighting and storm door. NO employee ever asked me if I needed any help......few walked by me and wouldn't even make eye contact.

I use the Gurnee Home Depot all the time. The store has the items I need and the employees are always helpful and will not hesitate of ask if assistance is need in finding the item being looked for. Shopping is always a pleasure and I will continue to return for my shopping needs. Two thumbs up for the Gurnee Home Deport.

I've had several projects done by Home Depot. They are always very friendly and helpful. I've been pleased with the work that was done.

I walked in to the return desk with a smile on my face and said good afternoon! She didn’t say hi/hello or even look at me. Slowly walked to return register and said without looking at me, receipt or card return. Impolite, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I was in a great mood until I walked in that store. If I want to be treated like that I can go to the DMV. And this is the person working the front end?

My visit is awesome.

The store is clean and well organized so I can always find what I'm looking for. Employees are friendly and very helpful, they know products and can explain how products work. Gurnee Home Depot is always my first choice of home improvement stores.

Not only do they make you check yourself out but they do so with an attitude.
