horrible to handicapped people..left in garden dept to fend for myself..by one employee then treated rude at register

Have been doing business with HD for years. This is the only store in the New Orleans, Kenner, Houma and Thibodaux area that questions me about giving me the Veteran's discount. I don,t have the Veteran's card but have Vetreran stamped on my drivers license. In the past I have shown them my DD 214 and still had problems. Did get the discount in the past but not after arguing for it. Should not have to be this way. Belief me you don't get Veteran stamped on your license if you don't have proof you have been in the military. All the other HD stores have never questioned me at all about giving me discount. The cashier I had yesterday at the LaPlace store me that I never got the Veteran's discount just on my driver's license. Don't like being called a liar. Over the years (being a contractor now retired) I have spent thousands of dollars on tools and material since hurricane Katrina and before. Don't usually write reviews but this was the last straw. If this is HD's policy how come all the stores don't abide by it or is it just this stores manager wanting to make his bottom line look better? It is going to be difficult for me to continue doing business with HD in the future.

Associates should be more customer oriented instead of shooting the bull with other employees/customers

The store was clean everyone was friendly and helpful. Theodore was most helpful , he listened to me explain my reason for needing a camera and lights around my house, but, I couldn’t financially afford it! Theodore listened with compassion and understanding, he went on assisting me, then, he offered his discount to help me cover the total! No one has ever done that for me! Theodore was a blessing to me and my daughter . My daughter was inspired by Theodore ‘s generosity she kept saying Mr. Theodore is a honest good man! You have a great worker and wonderful MAN in Theodore !

One of the better stores I’ve been to, and I’ve been to plenty. This staff is made up of real, knowledgeable, selfless and understanding people. I’ve never left the Laplace location disappointed, as a business owner, I recommend this branch.

The store is always clean and everyone are professionals. They treat you like family.

During my trip to my Home Depot today, I was greeted by at least 5 employees asking me if I needed help. Management is doing a great job getting this point across to the employees.

Appliance specialist, Kalonda went above and beyond to assist me with my purchase and delivery. She took extra time to identify the problem that I had and the necessary resolution needed to rectify the issue. I really appreciate her for her time and patience.

We began taking our first 2 Grand kids to Home Depot kids workshop 1st Saturday of the month. We now have 9 Grand kids, and 6 or 7 of them build projects. In fact, some of them think of unique projects to build in my home shop as a result of these activities. Its a great service to the builders of tomorrow.

The store was stocked well. We went to buy a dishwasher. There are plenty to choose from. The service from the salesman was great. It was a nice experience .

Will base on the most current experience. I wanted to be able to lock an outside faucet. I did not know if such a device exist. My sister called The Home Depot store. Through her telephone call she not only was able to find out that such a device was available but was also told what aisle and bin to find the HOSE BIBB LOCK ( Isle 8 Bin 16.) When I got to the store I went to that location, I than meet Marche the employee who my sister had talk to. He pointed me right to the device. I have rarely experience such great customer service. Thanks, Marche Thanks, Home Depot for giving a young man like Marche an opportunity for a career. Marche said he is trying hard, but he also has a great leader/Trainer who is teaching him ever thing he knows, I met him on the isle but didn’t get his name. I ask him if I could acknowledge them both with a manager. He said the best way would be through the survey. P.S. I got to the store five minutes before closing and I was out at closing.

In most stores you have to walk around looking for someone to help you. Not at this LaPlace Home Depot. There were plenty of employees asking you if you needed help. All were super friendly and helpful. The store was very clean and stocked well. I was impressed.

Not your biggest homedepot in the area but a small sacrifice when considering time fighting crowds wether parking , shopping or checkout. This store is probably fastest in an out of those nearby. Search app first for stock available.
