Answer:
Hi Tipsy2,
In some cases, touch ups can be feathered out and blended in with the rest of the wall. However, if the original color has experienced some fading with time, it may be necessary to recoat the entire wall. Hope this helps, and good luck on your project! Best, Jeanette P.

Answer:
Hello Dang,
Great question. Once a color has been mixed, we would not recommend adding more colorants to try to make it lighter. Adding more colorants will customize the color and we won’t know for certain what the new color will be. Doing so would be experimental.
Best regards,
Kevin

1-gal. #ECC-53-3 Outer Space Eggshell Enamel Interior Paint is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1241.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible color coverage Used this paint to cover a previously painted wall and the color coverage was horrible. The original color was a lighter green and the top cover was a cream white. After one coat the green was easily showing through the top coat and the room needed a second coat. I could see if there was a dramatic change in color like a deep red to white, but the original color was a soft color and this wouldn't cover in one coat. This was the worst coverage of any paint I've used in the past 30 years. When I went back to the store, they said this paint doesn't claim to cover in one coat; it says "hides in fewer coats' Won't be using Behr paints again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wasted a whole weekend, only to have to redo! We spent the entire weekend painting an interior hallway with Behr Plus Ultra Eggshell Enamel. The problem? Streaking and texture differences from roller path to the next roller path. We painted over the walls at least 4 times, waiting for dry time and using quality Purdy rollers. I finally gave it up at 6 p.m. tonight and am going to a flat paint from SW. What a waste of time and money! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent paint! Buy floetrol to add to your paint. This is excellent paint. I painted my daughters room and it looks great. My strong suggestion is that you buy Floetrol to add to the paint. It eliminates brush and/or roller marks and to me it seems to even out the paint application. It will also help with some of the issues I read where people complained that the paint "lifted" back onto the roller or had roller marks. The actual issue is painting technique and/or cheap roller covers. Don't cheap out on the rollers and make sure you load enough paint.. REASONS WHY PAINT "LIFTS" WHEN ROLLING OR SHOWS ROLLER MARKS (1) Rolling back over the freshly applied paint after it has had enough time to start to "set up". If you're going to roll over a freshly applied film, do so while the paint is still wet - not after it's had a few (or several) minutes to dry. (2) If you can see the product "lifting" from the surface as you roll over it (and not because of what's described in #1), that is a tell-tale sign of a cheap roller cover. If you buy floetrol and a good roller cover you will be pleased with the outcome. The paint results will look solid and uniform. I can speak from experience because initially every time I tried to paint it always looked awful and I had all but given up on ever painting again; then I received some advice from a friend who paints professionally. I hope this will help someone else out too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok. Not great I used this paint and painted over well primed new drywall. It did not cover in one coat and needed two. I also experienced experienced that "pull up" while painting, that others have mentioned...it picks up pieces of recently applied paint and drops it onto other areas...so you have to constantly eyeball your painting to pull these "scraps" out of the wet paint. I purchased this paint + primer. Wish I had just bought regular paint. Took a complete gallon to paint a small bedroom. The finish was also not as "flat" as I wished...finish was somewhere between semi-gloss and flat. I like a flat finish that completely absorbs all light...this reflected light a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I rely on for interior painting I have used this for most of my interior painting projects. When I have not used it, because of a sale on another brand, I found my self wishing I had just spent a little more and got what works. Covers in one coat if not changing a drastic color change. Even when I did need to do a second coat on a color change project I could cover on the second coat with ease. Eggshell looks great on just about any interior room wall. Super easy clean up and no odor. When I'm done there is no reminder in the air that I just painted a room in the house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Have they changed the formula? We painted ourfamily room and small hallway today the hall and a few walls were a dark red(previous homeowner choice) i primed thosse walls as instructed it took 1 3/4 gallons for1 coat. it went on thin and didn't go as far as ive experienced with this paint. The other walls were white.I've painted abright green room with a light gray with 1 coat, a medium blue room with a light medium neutral in 1 coat. This paint is not the same. I've used ptemium plus ultra for years with success. I guess i need to buy a different brand from now on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Definitely not one coat coverage Bought Behr Premium Plus like I have done for the last 10 years. The color was Sofft Buttercup, the finish eggshell. Not sure if the formula has changed, but this paint was so much more watery than the other cans I've purchased over the years. I was painting over previously painted plaster, and the color I was covering was Glidden-Billowing Clouds. It is a soft light blue. I use a 1-1/2" Purdy brush for the trim work. Please look at the attached pictures and you will understand my disappointment. I could understand if I was covering a dark color with this light one, but they are both relatively light colors. I like to paint and change colors in my home every couple of years, and Behr was my go to because of the coverage. I may start just priming with a primer paint if I am going to have to do 2 coats anyway. I did return this to the store, and with minimal hassle they returned my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product and price As always Home Depot laveen met and exceeded performance standards with the custom color mixing and service. I use an older color not on the displays and they looked it up and was able to match the color perfectly. Paint is top notch with a very high end look and feel. I buy and sell homes and the paint I use from Home Depot is always noted as looking very expensive
