How long is this compost aged ?

How long is this compost aged ?
Asked by: dave
Dave, Dunno the the answer to your question, but can tell you this chicken compost is dry, and flaky, easy to distribute, if stored in dry location. ... it may say on the bags but I have already recycled them so sorry I can not tell you more .... I prefer this to the 'cow' as the 'cow' manure offered is extremely oily and does not mix well with existing soil. I do not find this 'hot' and have never had a burn from it. Happy Gardening !

How much does this stink. Also plug please answer does this have disease carrying bacteria

Asked by: housewifeinsalinas
I just went and stuck my nose in the bag from Kellogg. Just smells like good dirt. These are supposed to be fully composted & therefor a low amount of bad germs. But, all the soil in your garden / yard has bacteria, etc. All those birds, mice, worms, etc are always pooping there! Wash your hands after spreading or wear gloves, then wash your hands. Once in your soil, the good bacteria there will feed on it and balance out any bad.

I half the bag then spread it on my orange and lime tree. After one application I suddenly see more flowers on both orange and lemon tree. Now I have a lots of fruit on the trees. I will buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff & Good Price This is great stuff to add small amounts under sod, grass seed, and anything you plant. I add small amounts to everything I plant so as not to burn the plant. Chicken manure has 10 times or so more nutrients than any amendment you can use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manure I find this steer manure the worst I have ever purchased in over 60 years of gardening, It does not mix well with soil or water. Is too powdery . Never breaks down and acts like ground charcoal.
