Seems a little expensive for the product. Need to be careful since the nozzle is smaller at the end than the tool or hose for which it is being used. The hose/tool can suck up something larger than the adaptor can accept. This can result in clogging inside the hose.

I hoped this was going to connect to a number of my tools. It does connect to one of them (for which I don't need a connection). On all the other tools, the gradations are exactly the same size as the tool fittings -- it won't fit over or into them. Useless for my purposes. It's going back.

Purchased the adaptor for a dust collector I was working on, and it worked great! Very pleased. The adaptor has a tight seal that connects well with my vaccum hoses.

This beats buying many pvc connectors/reducers to go from large to small. I will use it on my shop vac to pull water clogs from my A/C drain pipe. I may still need some duct tape for the final connection but it is handy for the job.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Matthew Does not fit any of my hoses?
I was hoping that for the price this would be able to connect my table saw to the rigid vacuum purchased on the shelf below. This item fits neither. The price is also disappointing. Not worth your trouble.

Junk it won't fit any of the three vacuums or hoses that I have. It's going back!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cudgelist Bought for OTHER purpose!!!!
I bought this adapter for another use other than it's intended purpose. I had a problem with my A/C unit's condensate drain. I saw a video on YouTube from an HVAC expert that recommended using a wet/dry vac to suck the condensate drain pipe clear of clogs. I got the Rigid 6-gallon W/D vac and this attachment to attach to the 1" diameter PVC drain pipe. I made sure with a piece of 1" PVC pipe that it would fit, and to which "necked down" part on the adapter. The 1" pipe fitted snugly into the second from the bottom, so I cut the narrowest end off, and tested the fit. They married perfectly, with the adapter on the A/C drain pipe, I attached the vacuum hose, and turned it on. I took only a few "on/offs" to clear the drain pipe! Now if it clogs again I have the perfect cleaning tool, and! I don't have to pay an HVAC service man $300 to do it for me!!!!

I was looking for an adapter for using smaller hoses on my shop vacuum, and looking around at home depot I found this adapter that I purchased and took home. It works great.
