Q:What happens if temperature goes above 90 after painting, before the 4 hours?
by|Sep 5, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi there, thanks for the question. If the paint has already been applied and the temperature rises above 90 there shouldn't be an issue. If you're still applying the paint and the temperature is above 90, it would cause the paint to dry faster and make it harder to work with. If you're applying the paint in extreme heat and the surface is very hot, it could cause the paint to bubble. Good luck with your project! -Ronald

Q:I would like to know the longest time I can go between coats of MARQUEE Semi-Gloss Exterior Paint. I was able to apply one full coat, but due to weather, I am not able to recoat until 14 days. Will I need to scuff/sand prior due to semigloss & time delay?

Answer This Question
A: Hi there, thanks for the question. As long as the surface is clean, you shouldn't need to scuff sand the coating if you apply the second coat 14 days after the first coat. It takes approximately 4 weeks for the paint to fully cure, after that amount of time you would need to scuff sand the coating before applying another coat of paint. Good luck with painting your house! -Ronald

Q:Is this paint vinyl safe?
by|Jul 11, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi Mike, thanks for the question. Our Marquee Paint is safe to use on vinyl. When painting vinyl, you want to choose a paint color that is close to or lighter than the original color. If you choose a darker color it can cause the surface to attract too much heat and warp the vinyl. Also if it is smooth vinyl, you will want to scuff sand it first before painting. Have a great day! -Ronald
