Answer This Question
A: Hi Mike, thanks for your question. You can apply our Urethane Alkyd Enamel on pressure-treated wood as long as it has had at least 6-8 weeks to cure. Also, it is recommended to prime the wood first before painting. I'd recommend priming the wood with our Interior/Exterior Multi-Surface Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:Can you use this on vinyl trim or siding? Do you need a primer as well and what do you recommend?
by|Mar 9, 2024

Answer This Question
A: Hi River, thank you for your question. The Urethane Alkyd Paint is an excellent choice for your project, and can be applied once the surface has been properly prepared. If smooth or glossy, scuff sanding may be needed. Also, we recommend priming using the Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436 before painting. When choosing a paint color, remember to select a color similar to or lighter than the vinyl's original color, as darker colors can absorb more heat, which may result in a warping of the siding. Have a great day! - Randy

A: Yes; Graco is hand held airless sprayer. I used this same gun to paint three kitchens and used the small tip. Thin about 10% and it will lay down perfectly, however, the drying time will increase.
