A:  Good day, these are LED lights and could be put on a dimmer switch by a qualified electrician. The dimmable aspect that they mentioned on the side is there is a switch is on the side of the light under the ring. It has 3 mode settings. From day light to mutted lighting. I installed lights, left the decorative ring off, then turned on the light and operated the switch then operated the switch Thru the settings for my wife to select what suited her better then put the cover ring on.
