A:  Greetings, jute yarn is incorporated into the woven backing. It is interwoven with the polypropylene yarn that is on the face side of the rug. We mention jute as it is a key point in case this is going to be cleaned professionally the cleaners are aware of the yarn content. The reason why this part is important is that jute absorbs water and expands and will damage the rug if not properly cleaned whether professional or by the consumers themselves.

A:  I bought mine on line, it came from 3 different stores. Mine were the smaller area rugs. I have ordered two big area rugs from Lowes over 2 months ago and it is still not in.

A:  Hall runner is 7 feet only. . . 7'3" to be exact and there is no burgundy or maroon. There is a red and it's the same red as the RED background of this rug. There is a video which can give you a better idea of the color tones.

A:  I do not use a mat. No issues. I have furniture resting on the edges. The rug would move without a mat on hardwood floor. A mat would make if more comfortable if kids were sitting without furniture. Not overly heavy. My husband and I carried it up a flight of stairs without difficulty. I did not see other colors.

Having at the minimum a non-slip rug pad will keep it from moving. But...it has been my experience, owning rugs of price ranges $100 - $1K, you are best to spend a little more and get a Good to Best quality felt pad. Go to Home Depot and search for "Rug Pad"). Q2) Does this come in black? A1) This exact one is not available in Black but a similar is "Angora Anthracite 8 ft. x 10 ft. A1) In terms of actual weight, the Home Depot state on this product page that it is 44 pounds. In terms of Quality, this would be a Medium/Light weight product. Hope that helps

A:  Backing is woven and not latex or rubber. We recommend you put a non-slip rubber/latex rug pad underneath. Home Depot has a few options.

A:  This is more of a red but keep in mind that rugs have a light side and dark side and natural or electrical lighting (depends if more yellow or white) may affect the tones. You can always rotate the rug 180 degrees to see if the tone changes. One other thing to keep in mind that yarn out of the polybag is pressed from factory roll/packaging. Usually it takes a few days to open up to it's natural state. We also have video of the Red color on product page, please look at videos and other angle photos to see the colors as in the end monitor settings affect the colors too. The stores do carry the 8x10 size so please check if one is in stock nearby as you can always make a quick trip and see the red in person.

A:  This is a dark red color. Monitor and phone screens might affect the color of the actual rug when seen in person.

A:  Appears to be a properly woven rug. It does not appear to be sprayed on. Share some pictures with you of the top and underneath.

A:  unlike printed nylon which is more common to what you describe the yarns are extruded, dyed and twisted before going into woven production. You will not see any "white" or uncolored yarn which is common with printed nylon constructions. This is heatset woven machine made production so the colors go all the way through.
