A:  I have this thermostat and it is for 5 wires, I should know I replaced the 4 wire cable with the 5 wires cable, now if you had a 4 wire cable there is a way to run this thermostat with a jumper that Honeywell provides, again this is for 5 wires

A:  Hi, if you have a heat only 2 wire low voltage (24 VAC) system you can install this thermostat but you will need a third wire, the C wire. You can have your HVAC contractor running a new wire or installing a 24 V transformer to get the C wire. - Maria
