        Answer This Question

A:  This subway tile is timeless and versatile - not sure about the blue sailboat design but the tile would support any accent like that well.

A:  This is a great subway tile, very nice handmade quality but no sailboat design.

A:  When I purchased this tile it was sold by the square foot special order. We ordered extra to make sure that we had enough in case of breakage so our contractor wasn’t delayed. I HIGHLY recommend this tile. It is absolutely gorgeous. It’s handmade in Spain.

A:  Its been a few years since I installed this in our kitchen. If you take 3" x 12" that will give you the square inch of each tile. Multiple this by the number of tiles in the box which will give you total square inches. Then divide by 12 and you will have your square foot estimate. Remember whatever square footage you come up with for your backspace, don't forget to add an additional 10% to 15% for waste, bad cuts, or cracked tiles.

A:  The color isn't identified, but you can use a sanded grout, and several people chose snow white or bright white for this tile.

A:  I followed the advice for light colored grout and the effect was kind of muted; you could not appreciate the distinct characteristics of the dry-pressed/handmade looking tiles. Also I realized keeping the grout clean for the long haul would be a pain. I painted over it The grout with pewter colored grout paint the next day and it is beautiful! Now my husband is impressed too. I do not recommend anything lighter than pewter in a kitchen - or the sand color suggestion I think is good. Sanded and sealed light colors still can stain (I tested with coffee.)
