A:  Connect the hose to the inlet port by squeezing the tab on the hose, push it in and release the tab to lock it in place. Add extension(s) as needed, or just slip on the reducer. Vacuum is set up for dry.

A:  Hello Martin, It's actually recommended to use the vac with the VF3503 dust collection bag as it extends the life of the pleated paper filter and makes emptying the drum much easier. A:  A vacuum bag is not needed with this unit.

A:  It would probably work ok for picking up the pebbles but honestly a broom and dust pan would probably be what I would use instead.

A:  I doubt it since its an all metal interior. The only thing that could take some abuse is the filter but, That too is pretty much protected. I used mine to vacuum up a huge number of acorns off my back yard. I filled the can three time about half way full and it did nothing in the way of damage. You should recognize that the metal can will get heavy so keep an eye on that...

A:  It probably won't hurt anything but if it were me it's get a plastic one because the since of those pebbles would drive me crazy. Plus this one leaks already so it's a dry only vac now.

A:  You shouldn't have to saturate the carpet according to the Decon 30 manufacturer's instructions. Check with the Decon 30 manufacturer, providing the nature of the pile and backing of the carpet to determine whether the recommended fogging or spraying methods are most suitable. Once the carpet is wet to the touch, about the only way to remove the water is to blow warm/dry air across it, venting the moist air to the outside. Home Depot has blowers designed for drying floors and flooring materials; you may have to raise and support the carpet to dry the backing material as quickly as possible.

A:  It's a great vacuum but nothing is going to completely dry your carpet. It will still be damp and most likely wet underneath. You probably also need a large fan after. The carpet should have been removed to dry in my opinion. I am not a professional in that field though

A:  yes, this shop vac can pick up anything. I would invest in a bag for it so you can throw it away. I use a bag for sheet rock sanding dust. It will save your normal filter and possibly keep from transferring mold.
