Q:Why doesn't the lock key pad light up to see in the dark? I bought 2 more and they light up when the Schlegal is pushed. It says "backlit" but this one does not! Disappointing.

Answer This Question
A: Pressing "Schlage" while the BE365 is locked will illuminate the keypad. Pressing "Schlage" while the BE365 is unlocked will not illuminate the keypad, but will allow you to lock it without entering in a 4-digit access code. Please verify that these two features are not working "backwards", as if they are, chances are the issue is installation. A: Code change is pretty easy. There are instructions included.
by|Apr 21, 2022
A: Easy. You'll need to safeguard the master code. If you lose it, it used to be found on a label under the indoor side of the unit - unscrew the unit from the door, it's under there. I would probably remove it from there if not installing it yourself.
by|Apr 21, 2022
A: You can simply change the code by following a quick 30 second programming process outlined in the manual and is meant to be performed after the lock is already installed. A: Its very easy. Directions to that come with set. We change our every few months
by|Apr 24, 2022
A: Super simple you simply type in the code that came with the instruction manual or that is on a sticker inside the unit take that and put it in your phone under a folder marked lock code or something to that effect and you'll always have it available so you don't have to take off the unit and read the sticker and you simply type in that number type in the new digits and you're good to go
