Q:can this be used to reseed an entire lawn? Or do I need to buy grass seed seperately? I am in the NY downstate area

A:  This product is meant for overseeding; it contains about a third of the grass seed you would need for reseeding an entire lawn.

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. This product is a combination of fertilizer and grass seed. If you are using a fall lawn food and a grass seed separately, do not combine these in your spreader. Apply the grass seed first and then apply the fertilizer. Make sure to check each bag for specific spreader settings.

      A:  Allow 6-8 weeks between the application of Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn and another straight fertilizer ort weed control with fertilizer. Since this product has a fertilizer in it, no other fertilizer should be used for 6-8 weeks before or after application.

        A:  Apply Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade in either the spring or early fall when grass is actively growing and when temperatures are not expected to be over 85°F.

              A:  Yes, Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade can thrive in the mid-Atlantic area. If you are on the South side of the Mid-Atlantic region, make sure your lawn is Bluegrass, Ryegrass and/or Fescue, before using Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade; as that can be a transition area for Southern grasses as well.
