Good charger
Went to my garage to get my Toro zero turn running for the upcoming spring/summer. Battery was completely dead to the point that I couldn't even jump it with my truck battery. Thing had been sitting idle since October last year. About 5 or 6 months. Engine would absolutely not turn over no matter what. Solenoid was clicking rapidly (classic sign of dead battery). Multimeter test showed about 10 volts (totally dead). Bought this charger and charged the battery in regular mode. After 2 minutes it read "FUL" AND 100% 12.6v. Which was true, but it wouldn't only hold that full charge for a few minutes before rapidly deteriorating back to around 9.5-10 volts. Put it in repair mode and left it to repair over night. Next morning I came out and the charger read "OFF" indicating it went through the full rapair cycle and a floating charge cycle. Disconnected the battery before heading to work for 8 hours. Got home and immediately put the battery back in the mower after letting it sit all day. Engine turned over immediately and forcefully as if it was a brand new battery. It started and I was able to successfully mow my lawn. It's holding the full charger very well now. Can't recommend this thing enough. It's fully automatic. Feels cheaply built but this thing absolutely does the job.

A compact quality automatic 10A 6 or 12 volt charger and battery maintainer.
With lawnmowers, tractors, fishing boat and my car and truck a batteries a charger/minder is a required item. Nothing is more frustrating than going to use a piece of equipment and it will not start due to a dead battery. This is a quality 10A charger for 6 and 12 volt batteries. In the off season I move the charger/minder between my batteries to keep them fully charged. The digital readout on the DeWalt Professional charger shows battery voltage and the amps being used to charge it- it is automatic. Now when I go out to use a mower or tractor- they are ready to go- with fully charged batteries. A charger and maintainer in one well built DeWalt unit.

A good tool, Easy to use
I have a few garage queens that are stored for the winter months. Part of that storage involves pulling the batteries and keeping them charged for the duration of storage. I’ve used a few different brands/models in the past. I now have one for each of the 3 batteries so I don’t have to remember to rotate every now and again. This one from Dewalt is a 6 and 12 volt lead acid/12volt lithium DC-10 amp charger, maintainer, trickle charger. There are no indicator lights but it has an easy to read display showing voltage, amperage, overheat indicator, fault icon, and 6/12v indication. It’s small size makes it easy handle and use either on a shelf or under the hood. This is not a waterproof unit. The case is heavy plastic and seems like it can take normal shop use-beating like other Dewalt tools. The battery clamps are well marked and have good insulation coverage. The power cord and the clamp cord are both 6 feet long giving nearly 12 feet of reach. If you use an extension cord, make sure to follow the recommended wire size and length of cord. The clamps are plenty strong enough to hold but not so tight that you have a hard time hooking them up. All of the wiring appears to be insulated and reinforced well for its use in a small shop or garage. It plugs into a normal 110 receptacle. I have it connected to a 12 volt lead acid car battery. I set it using the 12v/6v button for 12v. The initial connection on showed 14.1 volts and charging at 1.7 amps. Within about 10 minutes , it was at 14.4 v and displayed FLO (float charge mode). There is a slight sound from the cooling fan when it first turns on but you can hardly hear it. It does have an overheat indicator and will automatically shut off if that condition is present. It also has overcharge protection keeping the battery in the safe charge range, short circuit protection, and reverse polarity protection. The price point is comparable to similar units but I like that it is a Dewalt and I know Home Depot has a very good relationship with them if I have a problem. This does come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Overall, I am happy with the unit. It is very easy to use, I feel comfortable using it when I’m not present, and it does its job well.

Perfect for home.
My friend and I were just looking through my garage and saw a few things, made a suggestion that I should get one of these battery charger, maintainer, trickle chargers. So I looked into it and obviously DEWALT was the natural choice. DEWALT has been a trusted company and hence why there's a lot of yellow in my garage. The clamps clamped tightly around the battery. The long reach was nice, except when storing it. Wrapping it around the device makes everything else lopsided. The LCD screen was clear and easy to read.

Perfect for my classic car
I have only owned to trickle charge battery tenders, and this one seems to be the better of the two the namebrand alone holds value. It’s super easy to use literally two buttons and you pick which battery you are needing to charge. I like the 12 foot long reach power cord and the functionality of the LED screen is perfect. I use it on my 1966 mustang and if it lasts a few years I think it’s worth it.

Great charger and maintainer
Great battery charger and maintainer! Used it to top off my portable generator's battery and it's also done a great job at keeping two of my car batteries charged up - an Optima red top and standard wet cell battery. Charging rate varies automatically based on the battery's current state. Eventually it automatically goes into float charge mode. The case has a rubber coating on it with some small standoffs on the bottom. It also has a small fan on the bottom which operates when the unit is charging. Case seems well built. Why 4 stars? Well the clamps lack teeth, so they could possibly slip off. Additionally, the clamps are hardwired to the unit - most maintainers have a SAE connector which lets users swap between clamps or a direct connection to the battery (if your vehicle is wired for this). I may swap the clamps for an SAE connector.

Highly universal compact charger for Lead Acid and Li battery types
The Dewalt Professional 10 Amp battery charger and maintainer is exactly what I was looking for to keep my Li, and lead acid and batteries charged and maintained. The charger has capabilities to charge 6 Volt, 12 Volt lead acid and Li batteries. I have been converting my small and large 12 volt lead acid batteries (used for portable fish finders, trailers, RV, boat and lawn and garden equipment to Li batteries. This charger allows LI batteries to reach their desired charge state with the optimal charging profile which is different than Lead Acid or AGM batteries. Each a battery type charging is optimized. I've been very happy with the chargers universal capability to charge almost any type of battery and its relatively small and compact for such a powerful charger. The display is very clear and shows voltage, amperage, charge state and error. Overall, I'm very pleased with this universal compact professional charger !

Perfect Charge 🔋⚡️
This DEWALT trickle charger is exactly what we needed to keep our camper battery charged and ready before each use. The charger is a great size, smaller but works exactly as it should for our needs. The LCD screen is nice and helps us maintain a full charge before we head out for a weekend camping trip. The fully automatic system makes this super easy to use, even for those new to this type of product. We opted to have this shipped to our home and we had zero issues.

All in One, Automatic Battery Charger for Lead and Lithium 12V and 6V batteries.
Everything you need is included in one compact lightweight package. The case is surrounded in black rubber cushioning and it has a small fan built in to keep it cool. This will charge any 6 volt or 12 volt lead acid battery, from sealed units, to conventional vented, non-vented, absorbed glass mat (AGM). Starting or deep cycle batteries will work with this charger. You can even charge 12 volt Lithium deep cycles and starting batteries. This is a simple to use automatic charger. You hook up your battery, use the two buttons on the front to select 6volt, 12volt or Lithium and let it go to work on it's own. From extra large boat deep cycles, to small 15AH backup batteries, it self adjusts and won't overcharge the cells. The charger tests the battery, then sets the amperage and voltage to match your needs. From 10amps all the way down to a 1amp maintenance charge. Just hook it up and let it work. When the display changes to FLO you are done. No programming or guess work needed, set it and forget it. I'd like to see stronger springs on the charging clamps, but aside from that this is perfect.

Acceptable for the home user
This is a nice little charger for the average home user but in my opinion it's not deserving of the moniker, "professional". I like the feel of the case, it has a kind of rubber texture to it that helps improve your grip a little bit. The 12ft leads are great if you're trying to charge a car battery without removing it from the vehicle. The clamps themselves are just ok. They'd be much improved if they had some pointy little teeth on them to grab onto the battery terminals better. I found they have a tendency to want to slip off of batteries with smaller terminals or some of my AGM batteries that have flat terminals. There is a small fan inside for cooling. It sounds a bit anemic when it runs but seems to keep the unit cool during long charging periods. When first connected to a 12v lead acid battery it kicks into a bulk charge mode at around 14.4 volts which seems a bit on the high side compared to other chargers I have used. Once the battery voltage comes up it switches to float mode. This charger would be a great value if it also had desulphation capability built into it. For the price I feel like this could and should have been included. There is a 12v lithium ion battery charging mode, but to be honest I'm not really sure what that would do differently from a lead-acid charging mode. Maybe things have changed but every 12v lithium battery I have seen has its own built-in charging system that allows it to charge from a normal 12v battery charger. Overall, a decent little charger for home use but if I were a pro I'd probably want something more robust.

No more guessing what state my batteries are in!
I've come to realize that I have a lot of batteries to maintain, especially with temps over 20-degrees below zero: battery to a very old generator, battery to the motorcycle, battery to the riding lawn mower, and battery to the car. I needed something that could charge low batteries, as well as trickle charge topped-off batteries, so that when I use infrequently-used batteries, they will still be able to perform. This Dewalt battery charger and maintainer does all of the above and then some! Not only is this unit able to charge 6-volt and 12-volt batteries, it can also charge 12-volt lithium batteries too. Using it is very simple – first identify what type of battery you need to charge, say a 12-volt, hit the 6v/12v lead acid selector switch until it says 12v. It can charge regular lead acid batteries as well as absorbent glass mat batteries too. Since my car has the start/stop technology, it uses an AGM battery. Since that battery is a few years old, I put this charger to it and it charged the battery until the LCD display showed FLO, which means it is in float stage. It was actually fun for me to go around and check the condition of all my batteries. This Dewalt charger takes up very little room. The charger/maintainer can stand upright, which is ideal because the fan in the back needs open air to circulate and function properly. Built-in safeties are included so that in the event you connect the leads incorrectly, the fault icon will flash and the battery icon will be solid. I really like how compact this unit is, making it super easy to bring it along wherever I need it.

It will work for most people's applications!
It's interesting to see DeWalt moving into the more general tool market with this battery trickle charger. While it is not the most robust with features, it does suit my needs and the majority of the needs of most shoppers. It can be used for 12V and 6V batteries and is fairly straight forward in it's plug and play operation. I use to to maintain the battery on my vehicle that sits for lengths of time without being driven and it works well.

Long reach cord is nice
I have equipment such as a tractor, backhoe and a mower than sit idle for durations, especially during the winter months. Therefore I need to put a battery maintainer on them during the winter and other times that it might be weeks to months between use of the equipment. The Dewalt battery charger / maintainer has a 12’ long reach, which is about 4’ longer than my previous maintainer, so that is great. The battery charger terminal clamps can accept a decent sized battery lug and cable connector. The LCD screen is nice and clear and the shell of the charger is rubberized, which keeps it from sliding. The charger will work on both 6v and 12v batteries and up to 10amps. Overall, this Dewalt charger / maintainer is well made and 12’ reach of the cord is a plus. I’m pleased.

Simple to Use and Works Great
The Dewalt Professional 10 amp Battery Charger is one simple to use charger that really works great. Both, the power cord and the jumper cables are about six feet long each, that allows for plenty of length to hook it up and plug it in. There are only two buttons on it, one to choose what kind of battery you will be charging, lead acid or lithium and the other button the select either 6 volt or 12 volt. It has a LED screen to show you the amount of amps the charger is charging and when the battery is fully charged, it switches to a float mode to maintain the battery charge. The durable casing on it will prevent it from getting banged up and protect it from damage. I am very happy with it and feel it will last a long time.

Automated current control, current / voltage indication, support for lithium batteries
Very lightweight, powerful and versatile charger/maintainer. Inside it's got high frequency switching power supply that can deliver a lot power while weighing almost nothing in comparison to old school transformer based power supplies. It supports 6v and 12v lead acid and lithium battery charging. After battery is charged it automatically switches into trickle charging or maintenance mode supplying very little current to compensate discharge due to internal battery resistance. This little puppy can also go up to 10Amps if battery is extremely discharged. It has cooling fan on the back to support high loads. Air intakes have very clever placement. They surround cable exits on both sides so they will never be obstructed. I got it for sump pump battery as my existing maintainer is limited to 2 amps. I had flash flood event last year where both main and auxiliary pumps were engaged . I was lucky that heavy rain stopped before auxiliary pump battery got discharged as 2Amp maintainer couldn't simply keep up with 5Amp load. This one can go up to 10Amp automatically on demand. When battery is fully charged it I saw rates around 1.4Amp even lower than 2Amps. Illuminated LCD screen displays charging current and voltage, battery type and voltage selection. This is my first charger that can charge automotive lithium batteries that soon become industry standard due to mandated weight savings to meet ever increasing fuel economy targets. I would only ask for 2 things: 1) hard-wiring option with quick disconnect to replace clamps with terminals if permanent setup is needed, 2) relocate fan exhaust to the front and provide wall mounting option on the back. Other than that I'm pretty happy with this device.

The Perfect Charger. Maintainer
Truly a battery charger/booster that has all the functions one would need from such a device. 0-10 fully automatic charging either in fully charging a battery or as small a a trickle charge to maintain the battery fully charged. No need to remove the battery for charging, this charger will do it where the battery is located in the engine compartment under-the-hood. The battery maintainer will cycle automatically if the battery becomes fully charged and back to a trickle charge when needed automatic. When using the charger as jumper, the 12' leads will be more than adequate to reach the battery from the receptacle. The rugged case is molded plastic with a rubber over the molded case. The unit has an LCD screen to take the quest work Has a selector switch where operator can switch between volt and 12 volt acid batteries, Also come with a 12 volt Lithium switch. This is the perfect AGM wet cells or Gel Lithium. Carries a one-year limited warranty and carries the DeWALT name as being a commercial charger.

Great Charger with great Features.
The charger works great. I like that it can do older-style acid and newer gel batteries. I use it on my tractor as a battery tender also I. The off-season. The auto function is a great feature. Its ability to do 6v / 12v batteries makes it a win-win. And the size and cable length of 12’ is a good fit for any garage. The LED screen is a plus. It shows the battery state in Volts and the charge Amps. And it's easy to read. The cooling fan is quiet and works well.

Great Garage Accessory
The trickle charger is easy to use and something you can count on. The battery clamps are strong to stay secured and easy to open. The charger comes with a bunch of safety features to prevent overcharging as well as reversing the polarity on the battery. They cables are long enough to stretch about 12'. This is a 6' reach on the clamp cables and then a 6' reach on the extension cord. Super compact so it is easy to take along camping or hunting.

Nice charger
The DeWald trickle charger feels like a quality charger and is easy to use. I hooked it up to my battery and selected 12 colts. It took a few seconds then displayed volts and amps. Once it determined the battery was fully charged it displayed FLO when it went into float mode. The one criticism I have is that there is no storage for the power cord or clamps. I’ll keep the twist ties for storing it.

Great charger Very sturdy but displays are very small
This is a great looking charger. I like black and yellow together which explains why I have so many DeWalt tools. This one's a great addition. It's built very well. The yellow is plastic but it seems to be very rugged, not thin and cheap. All of the black is a soft, rubber that gives great protection and makes it easy to grip. The AC cord is about 6' long so that gives you plenty of reach. The battery cables are about the same. Both cords are in molded rubber where they go into the charger. I think they'll last a long time without fear of it breaking or pulling out. The controls are pretty simple. Top button is for 6V or 12V. Lower button is for lithium batteries, that's it. Very simple. I used this on a mower battery that had been sitting for over 2 years and I thought it was probably permanently dead. This charger brought it back to life. 13.8V in less than an hour. I'm impressed. The main display is a fair size. The 12V/6V, etc, displays are way too small to read. If they made the displays larger and included a pouch to store it in it would be a solid 5 stars

I use my new charger to top off and maintain the voltage on two 12 volt marine batteries in parallel on my Lund fishing boat. Batteries are used for depth sounder and trolling motor. Screen is bright and clear and the internal fan hummed quietly as it did its thing. When finished it showed that it was done, and had shut off automatically. Worth the few extra dollars compared to cheap models. Get one. I use shore power at the dock and plug and unplug the unit as needed. Perfect size.
