Rated 4 out of 5Â by MrResearch so far so good
Have only used this toaster oven for making toast, warming up my frozen bagels, and a slice of frozen pizza. Does all this well while taking up a small footprint on my counter. Tech support was good answering my questions and noting that the directions could be better regarding the power button which does not go off automatically (you turn it off). Also the cord should come out of the back-- I route mine under the front and around the left side to the socket on my backsplash. One more thing-- if you set the timer for the half minute, the .5 is smaller and, consequently looks strange. I'm glad oven rack is attached to the door.

I don't do many reviews--but since our Under-cabinet mount toaster of many years quit I haven't found one that I liked.
This one is great! I really like the full functions and simplicity of use. I have toast every morning--all I have to do is press "ON" and "TOAST" and I have perfect toast every time. Afterwards, I press "OFF" and know it won't continue heating. Toasting is always spot-on. The side of toast towards the back does get slighly darker than the front, but not enough to matter. If you prefer lighter/darker toast you can change setting easily. I have also cooked frozen pizza with another one-touch button that was perfect; and baked corn-bread in small cast-iron skillett with manual temperature setting (even though the footprint is smaller than most toaster-ovens).
I really like the "On-Off" button to make sure the power is OFF when we leave (small red LED indicates when power is on).
Oven is bright when heating (see pic) but not as blinding as this pic seems--you can see the food as it cooks. In addition to being convenient, it increases safety as it is impossible for oven to be heating and one not know it (if you are in the room that is).

Rated 5 out of 5Â by fastersnackster I saw the light!
O.K. first the cons- this toaster oven will not accept a large pizza, only the smaller 9" ones.
- the learning curve is steeper than a regular resistance heat oven.
-it will only toast four pieces of bread at a time
-the light is very bright, it will light up a dark kitchen
The pros are- this unit is fast, I can cook most items in about 40% less time
- this unit cooks with light, so there is no pre-heating of the oven.
-this unit is more energy efficient because it cooks with light
-it makes toast, frozen waffles, fish sticks, hash browns, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls well
-it has a smaller footprint than most ovens
-it is basically silent in operation

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Cona This is a great little toaster oven...
Great results, compact and easy to use. The express settings are a very nice feature. The only thing I didn't like was that the power cord came out the side near the front and not in the back, but it can be redirected underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MzzBelle Best toast I ever had!
When our last toaster died, I searched Consumer Reports for a recommendation and discovered the Panasonic Flash Xpress. I ordered online from Home Depot and it arrived promptly. We have used it now for over a month and love it. It is quick, quiet and efficient. The infrared element really speeds things up. It toasts my breads and buns better than any toaster I ever had. I just love the minimal footprint on my counter. Highly recommended. I don't understand why this brand/model is not more widely available.
