How did Home Depot lose a loyal 25-year customer? First, I’ve been a Home Depot customer for over twenty-five years, even winning a Home Depot/ Greensboro News & Record home improvement contest years back. That ended today because of horrendous customer service. On Friday 3/6/21 I made about $160.00 of purchases including two bags of concrete at $3.30 each. When I began my project I discovered that both bags had been stored poorly and half of each bag had already set rock-hard stopping my project in its tracks. This afternoon (3/8/21) I returned to the store to get the concrete replaced and make another $200.00 in purchases. Customer Service referred me to the manager whom they identified as Jessica. Jessica informed me that she had to inspect the bags of concrete to determine if I deserved a refund. I had the bags and chunks of hardened concrete in my truck but I informed Jessica that owing to my age and an injury, I needed help to get the concrete to her. She informed me that if I waited at the Lumber section she would send someone to help me. I did and after twenty minutes with no help I went back to Jessica who was getting increasingly rude. At that point, I gave up. I’ve spent untold thousands at the Depot over the years but you lost a customer because of a $3.30 bag of concrete. And as one who has lost friends to Covid, I would appreciate it if the store would enforce the mask requirement.

I thing the organization of the store has improved recently. I'm not so sure about the checkout arrangement yet. It will probably grow on me.

Austin may be the employee that you just see collecting carts etc. but he also came to my rescue today. As I was purchasing a propane tank he assisted me in entering the correct info off my receipt to get the cage door to open where I could take my replacement tank. After I swapped my tank for the one in the cage he again asked if he could lift the tank. I agreed and he quickly assessed that the tank I was about to take was also empty. He apologized and quickly called another associated who came outside and assisted me in getting a filled tank. Excellent customer service from all those involved and especially Austin.

Store is well stocked and sale associates are very friendly and helpful.

The employees in the whole store greet you to see if they can help you, no matter what you are looking for. We just ordered shades and flooring for our sun room. All employees in those areas were VERY helpful.

The High Point NC store is my primary shopping location. The inventory is broad and the employees are friendly. I am a DIY type person rather than a professional contractor. The knowledge level and helpfulness of your staff have aided me greatly. The quality of the merchandise has been better than you competitors, especially in the lighting area.

The store is very clean, most of the employees are nice. However, I did have 3 bad experiences at this store. I called the manager about a white male by the name of Tyler who refused to help assist me back in April or May. He acted as if I had the cooties!!! I had to get someone else to look at the table I was inquiring about. ( Patio Table) The 2nd experience.. I paid for fence materials and no one never pulled the materials. So when the contractor went to pick the materials there was none!!! I had to purchase my materials from Lowe’s and it took me two weeks to get my fence. The 3rd experience I had was last week. I scheduled an appointment to have someone look at my kitchen because I want to have my kitchen remolded. Mrs Maggie the designer called me 30 mins prior to the appointment and cancelled because of the storm after she had been out to other homes. So, we rescheduled No Show!! No Call and No explanation. I called and spoke with Mrs Wendy the store manager and she reached out to MsMaggie supervisor Mr. Tony. He called but still haven’t gotten an explanation to why she didn’t show or call after I left her a voicemail and waited on her for two hours. I’m sadly disappointed!! I feel as though I’ve been let down numerous times. I pray my skin color doesn’t how anything to do with how I’ve been treated. Thanks, Melodie Smith Golden

Bought washer/dryer combo and side by side refrigerator-freezer today. Saved about $150 in addition to Black Friday savings. Delivery date is better than I expected given COVID delays everyone is seeing. Maintenance agreements are a great deal compared with other stores.

I needed to replace a broken dishwasher. I spoke with Teresa in the appliance department and found her to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The appliance had to be ordered, but she made the process simple and set up an acceptable date.

STORE SHELVES WELL STOCKED AND EMPLOYEES VERY HELPFUL. GREAT PLACE TO SHOP AND I LIKE THE MILITARY DISCOUNT!

This location has a tool/equipment rental department. Rented a backhoe for the day and was very pleased with the rental. The price was 300.00 for the day and we got full use of it!! The only thing that I didn't like about the rental policy was you couldn't reserve the machine ahead of time. It was first come first serve. Store has a nice variety and good inventory of items.

WONDERFUL Store.Had exceptional service from the time we entered, flooring dept.was great, cashier Sierra was PERFECT and even to being loaded (an employee was getting carts and he stopped to help my mom and I load our rugs we purchased.
