Keola, an employee, and Donald, the manager, were full on rude when I asked them to do what two previous employees gladly did: add another ounce of pigment to a new custom color paint can. They refused what others had already done. Their priority was throwing their weight around, not helping the customer.

Employees answer questions in a friendly helpful way

There seems to be changes coming with their "military appreciation". After you go through the processes of proving your veteran or military status with the government and getting proof by way of ID, Home Depot is requiring more paperwork to be filled out so that we can prove to them that we qualify for their "military appreciation". It all comes down to the bottom line and I understand that but why make more hoops to jump through? Because they know most veterans are older and won't know or won't care to submit more paperwork.

The transfer from Maui in the Flooring and Window Department is phenomenal. Talk about phenomenal customer service! He actually approached me and asked ME if I needed help....I didn't have to go hunting for an associate. Not only that, he helped me find exactly what my husband and I couldn't find the day before.

Make the pro desk more accessible to regular shoppers not just professional builders.

This is a great store that almost always has what I need. The employees are outstanding. This is particularly impressive when everything else on the islands has major issues with inventory and shipping.

A number of associates helped me during my visit and I was able to find the item without any problems. They even helped me to load it up.

We moved here to the big island almost a year a go. We purchased our first home and home depot was our go to store. They have everything you need. But when you have amazing employees it even makes it better. employee carina (cashier) is such a wonderful helpful and amazing worker. She deals with 100's if employees a day, but when we come in and remembers us it makes us feel so great to know she takes the time to learn her employess.

I bought a rolling tool box. They helped me load it into my truck.

James saw us in the parking lot having some trouble with heavy ceramic tile. He asked if he could help - he loaded the tile and then wheeled it in the store with us! Awesome service!

Recent shopping, interaction, review of products, and subsequent transaction - despite non-availability of the product, but with the non-availability and understood delays in shipping thoroughly informed by Hilo, HI Kitchen Sales Associate Ms Wendy will assure many more future purchases through her for myself and my Customers. Further, ALL Home Depot Associates encountered in ALL departments always go out of their way to assist in locating specific items needed - not simply pointing in a direction and leaving the Customer to go find Waldo. Home Depot, Hilo, Hawaii and its Associates are AWESOME!!! Thank you ALL!!!!

ESTRELLA AS A CASHIER WAS THE "BEST"

Employees are always in meetings and tend to walk in the opposite direction when they see you coming. There are a few employees who will help and appear to be concerned but these are usually what appears to be new hires. As for the calling the store be prepared to wait about half an hour before you connect with some who is of no help.

So thankful to have Home Depot here in Hilo, HI on the Big Island. Great store, great staff, highly recommend them.
