This is my store that I always shop at. Employees are hard working and eager to help.

Sometimes Heroes wear Orange Aprons! My refrigerator broke over the weekend right after I had purchased $300 worth of groceries. I live in a rental and after discussing the obstacles related to Covid-19, it appears that his normal maintenance companies are not doing any in-house repairs and the company where he usually buys appliances is also closed during this time. Being that this has a sense of urgency behind it with the stay-at-home order in Chicago, he gave me leave to shop for a new unit. I went on to the Home Depot website to try and find the best deal possible with the earliest delivery. One of the models I found was out of stock. When I put in my delivery zip code for the other model I was looking at, it prompted me to call the store and speak with an associate. I called and left a message but then decided to just go in and work with a human. Marco, in Appliances, called me back while I was in line. I described myself to him and he came and got me out of line then walked me back to the appliance department. I had the makes and models and we worked out the final total for me to send to my landlord for approval (he wanted an email). Marco waited patiently while I did the back and forth with my landlord. While we waited for him to call me back, I asked Marco if I could see the unit we had originally selected. It was smaller than I thought it would be. This is where Marco stepped up and went above and beyond. He took me over to another model that was on sale - it was much larger and much nicer than the other option. Marco then stated that he thought there were some discounts associated with this make and model that would show up at checkout. The original price of this refrigerator was $709 with an online discount price listing it at $638.10. With the discounts applied at Check Out it dropped the price even further to a new baseline price of $585.00!!!!! The model that I previously agreed on was $593 with all of the discounts already applied (and it wasn't nearly as nice as the one Marco found for me). I got the okay from my landlord and purchased the refrigerator which will be delivered to me in 5 days. Bottom Line - I got the best value for my money, I have free delivery within a reasonable timeframe given the Covid situation and this entire transaction from walking in the door to leaving very happy all went down in under 45 minutes! It just goes to show you that no matter how "convenient" online shopping might seem, there is no replacement for going in to a store and working with an associate that knows what they are talking about, and - one who cares enough to provide the best customer experience they are able. I have a Home Depot Home Improver's card, and if there is anything I ever need; be it an appliance, materials or what have you - you can bet that I will be visiting the Home Depot on Addison/Kimball before I go anywhere else. Thanks to Marco and the whole team at this location. They are set up for success with a system designed to protect the health and safety of their employees and clientele - glass partitions, markers set 6 feet apart during check out and while standing in line to enter. I have been to other Home Depot's in the greater Chicagoland area and this is my local store - I won't be going to any other location for as long as I live in this area.

Even though we are in challenging times, I feel very safe shopping at this store. Thank you to all the employees!

This location always has the nicest employees. If there's a line, employees open another register immediately. The products are well organized and the store is always clean.

Store your carts inside!

Home Depot has everything needed to start my spring gardening projects. The most helpful associates are there to help you with any questions and assist you in getting everything you need.

The store was stocked well with a variety of items and styles of shower curtain rods to choose from. We didn't need assistance but all the staff was pleasant and appeared ready to help if needed. They are being diligent about how many customers are in the store at the same time.

Really great customer service every time I go in this location. I’m a working mom who likes to take on small improvement projects around the house and do some gardening and I always get great help at this location. It’s closer to my house, so convenience is key, but everyone always does such a great job helping me find what I need and making suggestions for projects. Also, if ever you need paint, Larry in the paint department is AMAZING. Knowledge, friendly, always goes above and beyond and has helped me color match 2 different paints used in my house. He’s reason enough to shop at this location.

Had to wait 20+- minutes for a loader to assist me. Cashier's standing around by the Pro Checkout doing nothing. Had to ask at least three different cashier's to get someone to help me. Ridiculous.

Worst customer service at any Home Depot I have ever visited. Avoid going to this store if at all possible!

This store is clean and well stocked, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. if the location of an item was in question, the employee double checked before sending me to another aisle. i browsed for almost 2 hours and found things i was looking for, found things i wasn't looking for and got some good ideas.

Our salesperson, Patrick, was so helpful when my husband and I were shopping for blinds. He made sure to double check that everything in our order was correct and helped us make decisions by informing us of the different options. He was also very sweet to our little daughter who came with us to each meeting. I was very pleased with his customer service and I’m excited to have our blinds installed.

It's pretty aggravating. Every time I come here I have to walk past a group of cashiers relaxing and talking as I rudely get told to ring myself up at what is supposed to be a non self checkout lane. Customer service is a thing of the past here. I walked the entire store as I was shopping around, the ONLY person who greeted me and was friendly is a guy who appeared to me the store manager. I avoid Home Depot as much as possible, and every time I go in I'm reminded of why I should keep avoiding it.

Every person working the aisles has in-depth knowledge of what your looking for, or can pass you off to someone that does. This always works for me.

Patrick from the window treatment department was a subject matter expert and answered all of our questions expediently through the entire custom ordering process. Even his peers were going to him for answers to specific window treatment and flooring questions. He was an excellent communicator and facilitated the measure/install process with the 3rd party. He’s a definite leader and I’m afraid he’s not being recognized the way he should!We placed $1000 customer order and will definitely be back to Patrick for all future needs. I hope he’s recognized for going above and beyond.

Leonard in the lumber Dept. Was perfect! He sought me out and offered help. He helped me select the wood I needed, and cut it for me. Made my Day!

I had a small issue which isn't a big deal, but one employee was rude and lied about his job. I asked to speak with a manager, to which Joseph came in the interaction and was extremely unprofessional. I then asked if I could speak with the general manager, to which he stuttered and claimed to be the general manager. I was calm, but Joseph continued to raise his voice and become confrontational. I asked for his last name, which he wouldn't give me (totally understandable for a line level employee, but not the GM). He also claimed to not have any business cards, which was again not understandable if this was in fact the GM. The cashier at customer service was great and friendly, but looked dumbfounded as she clearly knew Joseph was lying about his title and being extremely confrontational. Before leaving I tried again to clarify that he was the general manager, to which he just said "I'm not answering". Come on guys, it's clearly stated on the website and I confirmed with another associate that the GM is Paul F. I would strongly recommend not having your employees lie about basic information. My issue was a small one prior to this and I'm fine with the resolution and customer service offered by the first customer associate, but Joseph went way beyond what should be acceptable in any retail environment. You can't be confrontational for no reason, lie about your job, and then become increasingly rude and keep customers. I would appreciate if a manager would reach out to me so I can communicate and hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I would not recommend making any home-improvement purchases at this location. The associates lack the knowledge and willingness to assist with in-store promotions advertised. I came to this store location to participate in a ComEd rebate and in-store promotion and was told I would have to choose one or the other. Then, after completing my purchase with the assistance of 5 cashiers, one of them figured out how to complete the purchase to only tell me I couldn't do it because my ComEd Rebate would likely no longer be valid, but she could not confirm.

Almost all construction materials are available. No problem for parking space.

I recently stopped in for a storage bin. I was just making a quick shopping trip but the aisles are big enough that something else caught my eye as i quickly went to the bins. Not only did i make my purchase, but now i am planning my next kitchen project with new back splash products. This store has a lot of stock and it is well displayed. Thank you.

The associates were not helpful nor friendly. After asking 8 different people for assistance (which none of them were doing anything, so I don’t understand why each one of them had to “call” someone) no one came to help after waiting over 20 minutes.
