Can I rent a flatbed truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which trucks or vans you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go cargo van, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before you decide on a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
