The Polysteel case makes this flashlight light but tough and durable. I like the side flood lights that fills in a room with light. It has a flashing red colored light mode that serves as a warning device. The magnet at the end cap makes it handy to have itself attach to magnetic things. Using 4 AA batteries to power this flashlight is convenient as most stores would have these in stock rather than D or C batteries. Coast also sells a lithium rechargeable pack for longer running times. The light from the LEDs have a slightly yellow hue to it. Overall, I like the build quality and the utility value of it.

Red, White, and You
This is one interesting light that has found a place in the outdoor world with me. Boasting 800 lumens on high and shining for over 200 yards is awesome... On the sides of the light you'll find another reason to like it. Dual C.O.B.s spaced 180° apart from each other. These have the capacity to illuminate an entire room, camping area, boat floor, whatever... This will make a great Emergency Light for your truck or car. By depressing the bottom of the 2 buttons, you can cycle through the C.O.B settings, first being the white light options then followed by the red light options. The red is great for outdoor use if trying not to spook wildlife, or just needing a calmer illumination. The magnet in the tail cap is a HUGE plus... This light can be attached to anything steel and either used as a spot light or with the C.O.Bs as a work light, or emergency light. This light has countless uses.

Great everyday multi-purpose light
I bought this light before heading out to a ranch in the Rocky Mountains that had been long neglected. I decided to try this light as a good tough outdoor flashlight. I instantly fell in love. I purchased the rechargeable lithium battery and was amazed how lightweight this unit is, the COB lights and red COB lights are very useful. The light switches are a bit difficult to find by feel alone (even as I have used this light everyday for about a month), but the auto off after finding the right setting and not touching the button for 5 seconds or more is incredibly useful. I have however noticed, the COB lights flicker on and off very briefly during the first few minutes of use (regardless of location used or ambient temperature). The front primary light also has somewhat of a strobe (visible refresh rate) effect I have not had with my A25R or A9R. The strobe effect is very minor but starts to bother my eyes after about 30 minutes of use. A good way to see the strobe is to look a fans blades and noticed the different visual speeds of the blades under high, medium, and low settings (Again I see no changes when using my A25R). The light may be too large for most pockets but they fit great in carpenters pants.

This is a heavy duty flashlight. It is made out of a heavy weight plastic/rubber material. It withstands drops and heavy wear and tear. The bottom of the flashlight has a strong magnet, so it it can actually stick to a metal object and stay there that way you don't have to hold it. There are two areas that light up. The top like most flashlights lights up. However, the side also lights up as well providing even more light.

I'm a big fan of Coast lights, having collected a few of them over the years. This one is is great! Light output is excellent. The beam is adjustable, with the head requiring a rather firm twist in order to adjust it. When focused, the spot beam projects light a good ways and the flood pattern can easily light up a whole room. In addition to the main beam, the area lights that are built into the body great. They are very bright, though the light output from them has a somewhat harsh yellow light along the edges which seems to be caused by the lens as the LED strips are not perfectly centered.
Construction is solid. Body is metal with a plastic overmold. The tailcap has a magnet built into it that lets you stick the light onto metal surfaces, though the magnet's grip is somewhat weak. As far as controls go, the flashlight has two buttons: one for the main beam and the other for the area lights. Not a huge fan of the buttons - finding them on the body takes some getting used to since they're kind of recessed.
And finally: battery life. I've used it for 2-3 hours so far at various settings. Have not noticed any decrease in light output. Coast makes a rechargeable battery for this model. It's probably a good investment if you plan on using it often.

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue, but it's a flashlight and it's pretty resilient.
This flashlight is pretty nice and is loaded with plenty of features. The housing is nice and sturdy and has an aluminum body. There is also a magnet on the end of the flashlight so you can stick it up as a shop light or if you just want to store it someplace out of the way.
The main light is a single LED with a magnified lens to enhance the light beam. The main light has 3 setting of brightness. The handle also has two LED strips on each side. each strip has 2 sets of lights 13 white LED's and 6 red LED's There are 4 settings for this light set. push the button once, you get a one side of white LED's. and second click is both sides of white LED's. a 3rd button push will get you just the red LED's. and the 4th push will cause the red LED's to blink.
All in all this is great LED flashlight.
