Cashiers did not know how to handle cashing out a gift card, and then they said erroneously that a gift card could NOT be cashed out. Even an assistant manager was reluctant to help. BUT it is a law in California Notwithstanding any policy of the store to allow a customer to redeem a gift card in cash when the value is less than $10. See California Civil Code section 1749.5(b)(2). Statutes 2007, chapter 640 (SB 250). Worse was that the assistant manager gave you a lecture and guilt trip.

Went in to return some items and evelyn helped me out even though she was off the clock. It was really nice of her to have done that for me.. she made my night .

They need to be more clear on the self checkout procedures or have the self checkout person pay more attention. I was told that there was only one line for self checkout and so I wait in line than some one else just goes into one of the self checkout without waiting and person supposedly in charge of that department doesn't do anything about when I informed that person

Great place to buy paint. Stay clear of the garden department unless you want to nap. No one will ever know you are there. A note to the homeless: good place to set up camp and not get disturbed.

This store is very convinient for me and I am in hayward not a lot of people in this store, in my observation people who buy here they served so fast and pay to cashier fast too one of my friend actually from east 14 He'd rather drive all the way here instead of stand in the line too long and the store is organise easy to find everything i need

they wont refund paint that they cant match even when you show them photos. Took it in to get the paint rematched and still doesn't match at all. horrible

Me and my mom was shopping for cement and we needed a loader and nobody came.

Store was very clean. Managers and staff were very helpful. I would like to see more help in the isles. Staffing lightly or using skeleton crew never saves labor expenses... and it is always noticed by customers. This is the best store in the whole East Bay Area with the most full time knowledgeable employees. I’ll highly recommend it.

The guy that assisted me was awesome all across the board. He had knowledge on everything that I was looking for. He was nice and confident on every aspect of his role as a home depot employee. If I was a an owner of a company, I would do everything in my power to make sure that this guy was happy with his employment. Im sure he deserves a raise every single year, his name is RAUL.

Although the employees in the Lumber department were that I had to deal with were horrible, I had a wonderful experience with Devall and the asst. Manager on duty for the evening. And I thank them for turning that horrible experience around. It is very that those two employees, have gained a bad reputation and still have a job!!
