The NIBCO lead-free wrought copper solder pressure 90-degree close rough elbow is used in residential and commercial systems such as potable water, air conditioning and refrigeration. The 90-degree elbow features solder cups and a close rough radius. The fitting provides a means of changing the pipeline direction 90 degrees. It is used when velocity is not a problem. In addition to its inherent qualities of beauty, durability and low maintenance, copper’s reusability makes it an ideal application in sustainable projects.

It can be , but you should use a long radius 90 ( to prevent heat loss due to friction )

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality I bought a 10 pack while installing a water softener. Upon using these, I found almost every fitting was either bent up. I would be able to fit a pipe into one side of the fitting and not even able to start one into the other side. And further more, the edges of the fittings looked like they had been chewed on instead of that nice smooth finish you would expect. Ended up turning a 2 hour project into an 8 hour project. Super disappointed. January 24, 2015
