Answer:
Yes, you can use it for wood when the proper sandpaper is used for your application. We just market this product for drywall sanding but it can be used for almost any job where a hand sander is needed. Thanks for asking!

Answer:
Thank you for asking! On each end where you see the wing nut you simply loosen the nut, insert the paper, and tighten the nut. The black portion is a rubber stopper which will hold the paper in place. Thanks again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm Hooked! Until recently, I was too cheap to get one of these, instead opting to sand drywall repairs by holding the sandpaper in my bare hands. What a foolish mistake that was! Since I started using this with its associated sandpaper designed specifically for joint compound, my repairs look a LOT better, and the time I spend sanding has been cut by 90%. Oh how I wish I had purchased one of these sooner. February 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by hard to find sandpaper to fit Even after asking a sales person which sheets of sandpaper would fit this particular purchase, still ended up with the wrong size and ended up not using the product. February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful with my first drywall job. This was helpful while I was doing my first ever drywall project. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smooth as a ... I really like this product - so much easier and longer lasting than sand paper and more flexible November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Handy to have The hand sander sure beats hunting for some scrap cut offs for a sanding block. It holds the sandpaper well, and applies even sanding pressure. October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Its a good product. Its keeps the dust at a minimum. No complaints September 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best buy It was easy to use. Made peeping my wall to paint easy. September 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not a finishing project. I liked the hand-sander, and it's by 3M, so it's a well made product. The downside, is that they're made to be used with sanding screens. When I was mudding drywall, it left weird scrapes and lines, so the third coat had to be sanded with a sanding sponge (super nice, btw). I would potentially recommend it to someone else, but it all depends on what you're using it for. April 29, 2014
