Much lighter than previous version. Easy to install. Electrical wires for connection could have been 6 inches longer.

Very easy to install. A little smaller than the older unit it replaced that was not a problem.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by murua Okay, loud
This fan is just fine. It was the only option that fit my cut out and at 4 somes is pretty loud. If I had seen the some level before bringing it home I would not have purchased it. Most others are closer to 1 some. Overall it is fine.

I installed this fan/light in my in-law unit around 16 years ago. The fan motor finally gave up and I bought another to replace it. the new one is basically the same with the fan compartment can be dissembled.
It allows me to replace my old fan's fan compartment only without taking the whole box off. I don't have to re-do all the wiring and at the end it saved me time.

This was a replacement for the same unit that was twenty years old. While slightly different, it fit perfectly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MikeB 28 years and still going
This fan was installed in a guest bathroom in 1987. It is still going strong. The noise level has increased somewhat and I plan to buy a new motor fan assembly and install it. Hopefully it will be good for another 28 years. I am probably not, so I will never know.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by HOS401 Turned out to be a very expensive light
I am trying to remodel my guest bathroom, and wanted to install an exhaust system. I purchased the Nutone 70 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Fan with Light because I really liked its appearance and especially because the manufacturer stated that it was easy to install. Problem: you must have a 15-amp circuit devoted entirely to this fan/light, or it will pop the circuit breaker every time. In my home, I would have to install a completely new circuit, which would require a tremendous amount of work (crawling under my home and drilling into my circuit breaker box). I think the manufacturer should specify that a special circuit needs to be provided for this fan.
