Product Overview

Its small footprint, sleek lines and digital controls make the D46 720 a perennial favorite. Our humidifiers work by adding invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Maintaining proper humidity levels between 30-50% in your home/office/workplace has been scientifically proven to help prevent the flu and allergies. Proper humidity hydrates your skin, alleviates dry eyes, scratchy throats and can reduce snoring. With a doctor's approval increased humidity can reduce asthma and allergy symptoms. It also protects fine furniture, musical instruments, collectibles and wood floors. Proper humidity makes you feel warmer allowing you to lower your thermostat setting which will save money.

They replaced it with another one which did eventually work but it sounds like a steam engine is going through the house. Also one of the water tanks doesn't fit properly and you have to wiggle it around to get it to fit and allow the water to flow. It's a nuisance. I've had it about 4 weeks now. It is slim and fits the space well but that's about all. It does not meet my expectations as i've had the same brand before and was very happy with it. The second time i tried the brand it was a disaster -- this is the third time and it does not meet my expectations. I will not purchase this brand again.

I live at 8,000 feet in the mountains of Colorado where it is very dry. I set the humidifier at 40% on fan level 1. I can run the humidifier for 24-36 hours before having to refill, nowhere near the 50 hours. Level 1 fan speed is tolerable, but settings 2-4 are LOUD. Overall I like the humidifier, but felt the description was deceptive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aircare 2 gallon humidifier for 1200 feet Water tank indicator shows F for refill when one side is completely full. Getting a filled tank set on the humidifier without getting water on the floor is difficult. If it is not set exact the water flows onto the floor. Poor design. The fan cuts on and off in short intervals - repeatedly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good and works well It does what it's supposed to. Looks good. Fan is relatively quiet at low speed, loud on high. As other reviews, bottles are a bit difficult to load, but would still buy again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad So far this seems to be a good product. Both side tanks will probably have to be filled daily. The only problem I had was anything over 2 it was noisy.

I am a bit torn with this humidifier. i like the large volume of water it holds, the easy set up, it takes little space and both humidity and fan settings are easy to use and the two tanks are super easy to fill and attach. Keep in mind if you want to shut if off you need to hold the Fan button for several seconds. However i would question the 1200 sf coverage for sure. my home is around 900-1000 sf and to humidify this space it appears it would have to run constantly to get a decent humidity level. I have it sitting by a return air like suggested in instructions but i don't see this is helping. I also have have a smaller humidifier (different brand Crane Drop Shape) that does seem to have better ability to humidify the air quicker and is a great support to this humidifier. The fan at 3 and 4 is VERY LOUD if you have it in the same room and close to where you sit to watch TV. 1 and 2 are fairly quiet. I do live in Colorado where it is generally VERY dry so this may have something to do with its ability to keep up... So again I wish it humidified a bit better but it does have some good features as well. I have had this for about a month.
