This fan can move some air. I had a problem with moisture staying on the walls and this fan takes it all out. Great product. Compared to what was taken out, this thing is a monster. I had to open the ceiling to fit the 13" x 12 3/4" housing. The rest of the install was fairly simple. Swap electric and mount the housing using the supplied adjustable brackets. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a dry bathroom.

This is a monster fan. Not perfect for every situation. Its a pretty big unit. I bought 2 of them . My contractor let me know that in one bathroom it was to large and would not fit. He also told me that it wont work on first floor bathrooms in 2 floor homes, you need attic space to install. This is well made and suction is excellent . I could tell the difference right away. Have it installed by a professional . It is very quiet and it makes you think that it is not working properly, but it does work well. I see less steam and no more water on ceiling.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hoan Powerful and quiet fan
The installation took me about 2 hours. My old one was very noisy and not working properly.
To prepare for the installation of the box, I connected the wire from the fan to the junction box since the fan has too small area to connect the wire. I noticed around the fan has some holes that can suck the air from the ceiling including the dust and insulation, so I used the aluminum tape to cover those holes.
After that, the installation was easy. Opening up the hole on the ceiling, and using the reducer from 6 in to 4 in, secure the fan to the joints. I also used the tape to cover the area around the fan and sheetrock, so the dust and insulation cannot get down to the bathroom.
To test the fan: I closed the bathroom door and turned on the fan. I could feel the strong wind come under the door.
I'm happy with the fan. No more noisy and moisture in the bathroom.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TDinDE Great Fan!
We had a big problem with steam in our bathroom where the walls and ceiling would get soaked and had problems with mold, etc. We just put this fan in and was impressed with it. Did great with getting rid of steam and is very quiet too. The only downfall is that we had to cut a bigger hole in our ceiling which was kind of pain but it was worth it in the end. The one thing I will say about this fan is that it does such a good job at moving air around that it does create a "drafty" effect in the bathroom. It almost feels like cold air is blowing around which is bothersome only when getting out of the shower until you get your robe on. :)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KenC Super Quiet..but lacks quality construction
Installed the fan about a week ago. It does an excellent job of clearing the steam from the bathroom when someone is showering. It's so quiet, I really can't tell its on unless I look at the switch. Just based on performance so far, I would have rated it 5 stars. But my issue is with the construction quality of the unit; the metal housing bends easily. Not sure how, but I bent the flange that is suppose to be flush against the ceiling. The joist hangers are also made of thin metal that bends easily and don't do a great job holding the fan firmly. Finally, according to the instructions there is suppose to be a plastic trim moulding; it wasn't included in the box. This was an online purchase so I'm still working with Home Depot to have this part shipped to me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by papadoug This unit is as advertised.
I tested it first on the bench and found it super quiet. I then took metal tape and taped up all unnecessary holes. DIY installation is easy if you are handy and familiar with tools.
I have two complaints.
1) The mounting brackets seem somewhat flimsy for the weight of the unit and could be attached better.
2) The wiring box is tiny. Pushing 2 lines of 12/2wg plus wire nuts into the tiny box was a job so take care and move slow.
Also beware of sharp edges on the entire unit.
Once installed the unit is so quiet we weren't sure it was on. It held a #10 envelope fast to the grill.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rich Excellent Fan!!! Extremely Quite. Well worth the Cost!!
The Fan was fairly Easy to install if you are a Do-It-Yourself type person. The only Con I would say was the Small Wiring Box area. I connected a 15 FT Electric Line prior to installing the Fan in the attic and made a Junction Box in the Attic as well. Thanks to previous on-line inputs! The Supports could be stronger but they are sufficient. The Fan fit-up and install after that was Fairly Simple.
I had to listen carefully to ensure the Fan was even running. I pulled the cover down and had to look inside to verify! Wow what a difference this has made it our bathroom. No more sweating Walls or Fogged up Mirrors! Very Happy with this purchase. I used 6” exhaust duct as well to Roof Vent!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ddzet Superior product and great value.
The AirKing Quiet Zone 150 CFM Fan is easy to install. More importantly, it is exceptionally quiet! When the fan is on, it is almost inaudible.
