Pressure toilets make a whooshing sound typically. Proposed application is in church without good soundproofing in walls, so excessive noise would be annoying. What is sound db of flush cycle?

Answer:
I don't know the decibel level but it is louder than the average toilet flush. However the length of flush time is less. The advantage of this toilet far exceeds the average toilet.

Answer:
It is sort of loud. I would say it is about as loud as one in a Hospital room that has a great flushing ability.
It will scare you the 1st few times you use it because when you just barely touch the flush handle it flushes quickly. It is a great toilet though

It is fairly loud. On the other hand, it is also quick, if that helps.

About halfway between a typical home toilet and a commercial toilet you'd find in an office building, etc. It "flushes with authority!"

Nope. Besides the seat/lid you'll need a water supply, wax seal (better to buy the SaniSeal no-wax gasket), and new closet bolts.

No, but the seats that normally come with toilets are not worth anything. This toilet is so great I do not care that it didn't come with a seat. All I can say is BUY IT.

The toilet does come in two separate boxes. The upper tank and the lower pedestal. I would call American Standard or their local distributor to see if you can purchase the pedestal only..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HELP I BOUGHT THIS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO, AND HAVE LOVED IT. TODAY HOWEVER, WHILE CLEANING AROUND IT, AND LEANING ON THE TANK, THE PORCILAN BASE, RIGHT NEAR THE BOLT BROKE. I USED JD WELD APOXY TO FIX IT. NOT SURE IF IT WILL WORK, ANY SUGGESTIONS? DID THIS EVER HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE? April 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great toilet has only been in for a couple of weeks, so far it has been great .flush is very good and strong.now just waiting to see if any problems come up. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great waste removal system This toilet with the Flushmate assist system eliminates large waste 99% of the time. It works much better than the standard toilet. Ever since the Government changed the flush rate to 1.6 gal per flush I have had a problem eliminating the waste from the toilet without flushing several times thus wasting more water. The force of the water provided by this system cleans the toilet completely. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Potty perfect I bought this product to replace a pressure assisted Mansfield model that was 13 years old. The American Standard model flushes perfectly every time so far (2 months of use). It is lower than the Mansfield but the flushing is far superior. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent toilet,i have had these before this is a very powerful flush.and does not use alot of water. March 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A mixed response In terms of functionality this toilet does a good job. The internal mechanism works fine, and it was, for the most part, easy to install. I give it a lower rating because the tank lid is not engineered very well. The lid does not fit well to the top of the tank so I had to super glue rubber washers to keep it from grinding on the top of the tank. Likewise, the fitting between the tank and the stool was less than ideal. I tightened the nuts as much as I dare, but the tank still wobbled ominously. I inserted more rubber washers into the space at equal intervals around the base before tightening just a little more. Both solutions seemed to solve the problems, but I was not terribly pleased. I installed an American Standard Pressure Assist toilet in one of the bathrooms of our old house and never had a problem with it. If given a do-over, I would probably purchase that brand over this one. February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NOT FOR A DIY I have only had this for about 5 days. It has to be installed by someone who knows what they are doing. The Pressure Assisted flush is GREAT! It will scare you each time it flushes. It does make a louder noise than a regular toilet. I would compare it to a Hospital toilet that really flushes well! February 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent at what it's really meant for -- the Big One! Depending on what your needs and expectations are, you should either love this toilet or merely be happily impressed with it. If you have a toilet or plumbing system that struggles to take care of business in one flush, this does a fantastic job, but not without a quirk or two. Mainly, it will struggle every once in a while to flush down even a small amount of toilet paper alone. This might be because the paper sits on the ledge-like surface at the front of the bowl, or because the flushing action just works better with solids in the bowl, IDK which. But it does excel at handling a heavy load with one flush. I did manage to crack/chip the porcelain enamel around one of the mounting bolts but did not crack the mount itself. IDK if that is a sign of a thin/weak coating or just a random thing, but not something I'm used to seeing in other installations. December 9, 2015
