Your flushing video shows a pool of water in the bottom of the toilet bowl. Sometimes, after flushing, mine also has this pool; however, it slowly ebbs away and I am left with a water level not quite enough to cover the inlet that brings water into the bowl when flushing. Result: almost always a splash that ends up on the underside of the lid and/or seat. It's particularly embarrassing when used by guests. I can only deal with this by flushing slowly. Other than this annoying flaw, I'm pleased with the toilet. What can be done to keep enough water in the bottom of the bowl to cover the inlet?

It would seem to me that you have a venting problem. The lack of venting causes the suction of the flushed water going down the waste line to pull the water out of the bowl and thereby using the toilet bowl as a vent. It would be prudent to check your vent stack on the toilet waste line perhaps you may find an obstruction and solve you problem.

I have a 14" rough-in (very old house and can't move anything). I have purchased this toilet with the 12" rough-in) but I can return for a different one. Can you tell me how far the toilet will be into the room from the wall behind the tank? I am assuming approx. the depth of the toilet (28.5") plus 2" is this correct? 30.5"? If I purchased a toilet with a 14' rough-in and the toilet was the same toilet would the distance to the wall behind the tank now be approx. 28.5" or would it still be 30.5 inches but no 2' gap behind the tank to the wall. I need the smallest distance possible from the wall behind the tank, and then into the room. I can live with the gap I just need the toilet not to project too far into the room.

It will not matter which tank you use, the same bowl will be used for both the 12" and 14" rough-in, so the bowl will be the same, but it will be 2" further away from the wall, just based on the difference between 12" and 14".

What is the difference between this model and the 2568.128.020 sold at Lowes?

Asked by: Anonymous
There would be no difference, these are the same models, one is just a Lowes exclusive.

Compact Cadet 3 FloWise 1-piece 1.28 GPF Elongated Toilet in Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice. I replaced both toilets in my house. I had a first generation low flow and an older full flow toilet. I put these in and put the plungers in the basement! Never again will I plunge a toilet! I have tried to plug these toilets and can't. I've used half a roll of paper, and I still can't pug it! The toilet seats are cheap, but get over it. The toilets were inexpensive enough that you could go get a much nicer seat and still be further ahead!! The one piece rocks. It's very easy to clean! Also, the Fluidmaster guts are a definite PLUS! One thing to be aware of, the tank is very small. I had to paint behind the tank because so much more of the wall was exposed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact Cadet 3 Flo Wise I bought two compact Cadet 3 to replace two old American Standards that never fushed well and were too low (14 1/2"). Install was easy as the old toilets were 13yrs old. Buy a heavy duty wax seal, 20 inch braided water line, and a better oval seat. I used the premium seats off my old toilets and they were perfect. When flushing, one quick push of the handle for urine and a longer push for solids. No more ugly plungers in the bathroom. The 16 1/2 inch height is perfect and I do not feel like I am doing deep knee bends. The height is great for my wife who has had a knee replacement. Pay the money and get a great looking toilet, simple flush mechanism, and great seating height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right size and fit with added features! I bought this about 2 years ago and since then I have enjoyed it very much and would recommend. I am 6'-4" and have a bad back and the added height (2" to 2-1/2") on other models researched makes a big difference for me, others have also commented on how nice the added height is. It also can act as a dual flush with a quick flip of the lever for just urine does not empty the fill tank (to save even more water) and hold down the lever for a full flush completely empties the bowl. The one-piece design is great since you don't need to worry about the seal going bad or a hairline crack causing a leak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toilet hasn't plugged yet! Pros: We've lived with 3 of these toilets for 3 months and not one has clogged yet. The EverClean surface really does resist stains longer than ordinary porcelain. Cons: the base was warped on two out of the three I installed. Retailers sell plastic toilet levelling shims. Sometimes the ring connecting the chain to the flush valve flips over, making it too short for the valve to seal. You have to remove the tank cover and jiggle the chain to reposition it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact Cadet 3 1 Piece We bought a 4 yr old home 3 years ago with cheap Briggs low line toilets already installed since new. My wife and I always believe in buying the best products that suit our needs, not always the most expensive! After 3 weeks no plunger use on our 2 new toilets. Before that we needed to use the plunger at least once a week in each bathroom. No build up now in the bowl or rim. The silver embeded bowl and the 1 piece design are great and fit over our old floor foot print perfectly. We did need to replace our water lines (very easy). This model is a great choice. We bought them at [...]for a great price..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dirty - yuch! Something has to be pretty bad for me to write about it. Now, this toilet does have it's pros. The comfort height is very nice, and the single piece is very easy to clean. If you are going to install it in a main floor WC where 95% of it's use will be for "quick" visits, then great (but keep a brush nearby!) If it will be used in a main family or ensuite bathroom, then be prepared for repeated flushes and brushing (EWWW!!!) Really, a minimum of 2 flushes and a brush seems wasteful and unhygienic to me. The relatively small surface area of water in the bowl probably does not help. I'd post a picture of the actual effect, but I think that would be over the top...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Toilet Installed in condo vacation home during remodel. Best value and efficiency available for my money. One piece allows easy installation and low maintenance. Only problem I had was that one of the two toilets I installed had a slight production flaw that caused the fill valve to leak. Customer support was exceelent and quickly sent me replacement valves. After I smoothed the flaw and installed the new valve, everything worked like new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased bone color through Home Depot. Toilet was a bit pricey due to shipping to Hawaii. Installed 5 days ago. Both husband and I were concerned with flushing ability. The toilet is great. One flush cleans the toilet with no "skid marks" remaining. I like the 1 piece design for ease of cleaning. Very impressed. Great product
