Customer Questions & Answers

Is this basin the same as the one pictured with the pedestal? I just need to replace the basin and have the pedestal pictured in the 2-part one.

Asked by: Mardy
This particular sink will only work with the 0067.000 pedestal leg. They are not interchangeable.

Do I purchase the pedestal separate?

The pic shoes only the basin. Where is the pedestal?
Asked by: Anonymous
There are two different options, the console table and the pedestal leg, They are sold separately.

Customer Reviews

Standard Collection 6-1/4 in. Pedestal Sink Basin in Linen is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Restoration Beauty Best Use to Restore/Remodel an Antique Home. We refinished the claw foot tub and original American Standard Cast Iron Tub and bought the two sinks, the toilet, and the accessories, the mirrors, robe hooks and towel bars to capture the vintage look of the bathroom. A perfect answer to new products with Old Style Character and Charm. Functional, Easy to Clean and Good Quality for many years now over 12 years old.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst sink ever Within the year hairline crack marks appeared. A.Standard didn't want to hear about it. Hot water faucet needs constant repair and chrome peels off. Have always bought their products, this is the worst. Don't buy

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hairline crack issues I bought what I think is the same sink in 2002. It was, as I recall, part of the American standard "1925" collection. It looked great for about ten years, but then several hairline cracks appeared radiating from the overflow holes to the top. It's unsightly. I keep my hot water at 118 degrees, so I ruled out temperature extremes. We have no children to invent ways to abuse things. I wanted to order a replacement, but saw others have the same experiences. I'm wondering if this is another case of China making inferior products to satisfy retailer desires for lower price points. I wish Home Depot could react to these disappointing situations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Period Style I've used this lavatory for seven years, we have two installed into my master bath. The shelf is critical, filled with baskets for amenities. Works great, no crazing or chipping of the surface, still looks like the day it was installed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Standard Collection Basin Purchased both the Standard Collection pedestal sink/basin, as well as the matching toilet, for use in a historic restoration project. No problems except for sink basin. Cracks developed along the faucet holes, which were not caused by excess faucet tightening. Not at all happy with quality, nor with American Std. warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a classic design I purchased and had this console installed by a plumber. Everyone at the work site fell in love with this sink. It is both extremely functional and beautifully designed. We had it installed in our guest bath. Everyone that uses it raves about it and always ask where did we purchased it. Because they want one too. We are also going to purchase a second one for our future second level bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Traditional sink The sink was purchased for a 1/2 bath and fit perfectly. It provided the traditional/historical feature that we were hoping for in a small bathroom. In addition, the sink fit well on the pedestal as there was a pocket for the pedestal to "rest-in" versus others where the pedestal was "resting on".
