how can this be sealed to the blocks in a crawl space

how can this be sealed to the blocks in a crawl space and sealed at the seams ?

I would recommend using a heavy duty double sided tape, like butyl or something. I went to Americover and just got it there

whats the difference between string reinforced plastic vs 6mil const. plastic

whats the difference between string reinforced plastic vs 6mil const. plastic
Asked by: patrick
I don't think it tears as easily (i.e. it's a bit stronger). I use mine over my greenhouse/cold frame. This will be the third year that I've used it and I've had very few tears in it (only at sharp stress points from the frame). I do remove it once it's warm enough outside for my plants to grow and I leave it off until the next spring. That helps it to last even longer.

Would this work as a protective covering on a hardwood gym floor? We are trying to protect from foot traffic.

Asked by: LT
I would definitely recommend this material for floor protection. As a construction professional, I always try to get the plastic sheeting that has string reinforcement which gives it extra heavy duty durability for high traffic projects or areas. It wont adhere to the floor, but makes an excellent surface protection material

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best film for a Greenhouse cover I use this as a greenhouse cover for my hoop house, and it works great ! The reinforcement makes a difference when its supporting snow in the winter, and the plastic is much clearer than the standard 6 mil plastic. They had to bring it in to my local store, and it came much faster than I thought it would. Great job all around ! HB in Centennial Co

Rated 1 out of 5 by from too thin for me I wanted this for a greenhouse cover but when I saw and felt how thin the plastic is I returned it locally. When they say 6 mil, that is the composite thickness of both the plastic and string. The string reinforcement is a diamond pattern and is 2 or 3 mil. For this film to be useful for my greenhouse I would have to at least triple the layers and add hemming and or grommets. I decided to stick with a 10'x20' King Canopy greenhouse cover which is 11 mils and has a sewn hem on both of the long sides and also has grommets. The string reinforcement is a tighter square pattern and is 5 or 6 mils on the KC.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cheapest greenhouse material Better than whats on the shelves in store. Is holding up against 30 mph gusts. Not 100% clear but still pretty transparent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price We bought this polyethylene film for our hoop house. We've had it up for about two months and have had no rips or other problems because of the reinforcement. 6 mil. is a little lighter than we would have liked, but the 12 mil. is three times the cost. Because the material is only 20 feet wide we had to tape two pieces together using a very expensive 4" wide tape. Wish the material came 40 feet wide. We expect this to last two years or better. If HD carried the 12 mil. we would get that next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such an amazing plastic! Bought several thousand square feet of this material for a construction project I was working on and it held up extremely well! It was in the middle of summer, and held up great in direct constant sunlight. We got hit with a severe thunderstorm later, and it still withstood! Definitely repeating this purchase next time to protect my project from the elements

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Cold Frame/Greenhouse Very heavy duty plastic and seems to work great for my walk-in cold frame/greenhouse. It's rather pricey, but I'm hoping that it will hold up better than just plain 6 mil plastic.
