CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lightweight, added more support to tub. This product looks nice. I cracked the tabs a little while installing. However not in critical areas so won't cause the tub to leak. I did add support boards in three locations. Front, back, side wall and floor. I put Tub and tile glue (4 tubes) along the boards where the tub will touch. The glue needs to make up for the difference in spacing. I also used joing compund on the floor underneath the tub. Set the tub in place. leveled and screwed tub tabs into 2X4s. Now Letting it sit for a week before doing anything else. The joint compound underneath will take a while to dry, used all 5 gallons. (easier to break out if the tub ever needs to be replaced) Since the tub is plastic if somthing hits the side could break. but repairable. Should be fine for renters, would be more comfortable if my own home. The product is sturdy enough, but not the strength of metal. The plastic seems easier to keep clean, scratches, but doesn't chip and cause rust. I have seen plastic tubs used in several newer homes and seems to last fine. I think the trick is to make sure it has enough support. Definately a lot lighter. Since the bathroom is 5 feet wide by 12 feet. a metal tub would be very difficult to install. this plastic/composite was tough enough. It seems like it will work just fine. even though supported it seems like the outer wall is vuenerable to cracks if kicked hard enough. October 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Tub was easy to handle and looks good in my remodeled bathroom. I appreciated the light weight because i slid it into place and removed it at least four times. Good product that fits well with the matching surround. May 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good kit This is a three part kit. The quality is very good. Was not difficult to install, just remember to take a minute to go over the instructions. I would recommend this product. May 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best system for the $$ Average on the ease of install the drain plumbing does not match up to most drain to over flow distances. Meaning the drain is closer to the end of the bath than most. The thickness of the offset of the walls is more than I like but I its designed this way because it is a caulk less system. See in store display (my local store had it displayed actual system) to see what I am talking about. Nice heavy made meaning thickness of tub just over 1/4". I am a big guy so I used sand, Portland cement mortar mix to support the bottom. One 60lb bag is more than needed. So your asking would he buy it again?? Yes I would buy it again if I had a second tub to replace. January 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flawed design subject to cracking Upon inspection and before installation, the tub had a crack at front right corner that started traveling across. Called Home Depot and they delivered a second one. Same crack on the right side this time. I sent it back and bought a steel tub. The design should be modified to beef up the corners and prevent this cracking. It would not take a lot to make this design change and it would then be a descent bathtub. January 20, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 4 Cracked Tubs. 4! 5 including the display! So, I bought this tub, asked to see it in store to check it for cracks. They opened up the middle of the box...silly me. The corner flanges on the tub were broken. So I return that one, trek to another HD the next town over. Every right hand one in stock was broken, in the same area! Swear I've never seen anything like this, not even at Wally World. Even the display was cracked! XD Don't believe me, check the one at your store.... February 1, 2015
