I installed this on 17 windows running around my door (all around 10x10) so I used 3 of these kits. This plus the Gila installation kit ran me a tad under $100 - much cheaper than having somebody come out and do the job.
The actual installation was a breeze. I now have total privacy - can only see fuzzy shapes less than 1 foot away from the windows. I have a nasty streetlight in front of my house that would shine through the windows right into my eyes as I was trying to watch TV. Now the light is totally diffuse (but you can still see there is a light outside) and not glaring, much more enjoyable to watch TV now.
I've no complaints on this product at all.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by edm20 Did not provide privacy
Don't quite understand why people gave this product 5 stars:
#1: It was way too expensive for such a product
#2: It simply did not provide any privacy at all. We tested it at night with the light on inside and you could see everything (and yes, we installed correctly).
Removed it from the sidelight and decided to use it on a glass front storage cabinet. Nope! Can see everything inside the cabinet. Then installed it on the front AND back of the glass door to see what would happen and it didn't make any difference. Could actually read the labels on jars from outside!
The only good thing is it was very easy to install using a credit card as a tool. No need to buy the kit as far as I could determine.

Excellent product that provided the privacy that we needed at our front entrance. After reviewing the instructions, total install time was less than 30 minutes after prepping, cutting and installing. My wife assisted and 4 hands did make the job easier when applying to the window (as did her careful eye to detail!). After drying time, product stays in place and looks great.

I was looking for inexpensive window treatments for my sidelight windows for privacy and luckily I came across this product before wasting my money on anything else. It was inexpensive and easy to install and best yet people can no longer look through my sidelight windows.

We are happy with our purchase. The film let's light in while providing the privacy we wanted. Much more economical than replacing the side light and door. Easy to install.

This sidelight film was very easy to install and creates privacy for our front door. You cannot see inside window when outside. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tashnicp Nice window film
I grew up with (tacky) fake stained glass film on our sidelights at home, so it's great to know there are better products for windows these days. The window cling film is easy to put on and of course, will not leave gook forever on your window if you try to take it off. We are using the sidelight width, horizontally on the 10 windows of our front porch to diminish the distractions for our dog. Dogs that get window-crazy might rip up blinds or shades, and they can push them aside to see anyway. It's a little unusual, but we can still see out the upper part of the windows while our doggie's view is inhibited. The simple etched texture is very nice and looks natural. We could easily get cafe curtains to overlay if we don't want the half-and-half look. Now that my husband approves, I'm going to put a full sheet on our downstairs bathroom window and take down the dark curtain we have stuck there!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JupiterDIYgirl Very easy to install
I used this film to obscure the windows in my front door. I liked having sunlight come into the house but didn't like that everyone could see into my house at night. I thought about buying a new door but found this product. So for the small price, I gave it a try. I'm really glad I did. I was concerned the film would eliminate too much light but it really doesn't. The installation was a breeze. The hardest part was cutting straight lines to fit the window panes but it was not difficult with standard scissors. The instructions were very clear. I was able to find an inexpensive Bondo spreader that worked perfectly for smoothing out any bubbles. Because the film is the "cling" type and not the "glue-on" type, there was no mess and I can easily change my mind - or the style of the etched film - in the future. Product worked as advertised!
