The product is a high quality material which make it easier to use. The shipping took a while, but I live on the East Coast and the Window film came from the factory in the North West Coast. The film appeared to be factory cut just for me.
I had two sidelight windows to do. Each sidelight was 6" by 5ft. Following the excellent instructions, I marked the backing paper and cut the sizes using a utility knife with a fresh blade. I left the length a little long and did a final trim at the very end.
The attaching of the film was easy, peeling away the backing paper a little at a time as I went down the pane, peeling and squeegeeing, peeling and squeegeeing. You can start over as many times as you wish since there is no gluing involved. Just spray on a bit more water/soap mix. The adherence is from squeegeeing the film onto the wet glass and squeegeeing out the air bubbles and the water between the film and the glass. I made my own small 5" squeegee from a flexible piece of clear plexiglass. When you like the positioning, spray more water mix on top of the film and do a careful and final squeegeeing. I trimmed the length at the end just like it was wallpaper and did a final squeegeeing of the last inch. Looks perfect.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by danielle Great for garage windows
Easy to install, lets in light, but also allows for privacy. Used this on my garage windows because we didn't want people to be able to see into the garage, but still wanted natural light. This worked perfectly.

I installed this on 17 windows running around my door (all around 10x10) so I used 3 of these kits. This plus the Gila installation kit ran me a tad under $100 - much cheaper than having somebody come out and do the job.
The actual installation was a breeze. I now have total privacy - can only see fuzzy shapes less than 1 foot away from the windows. I have a nasty streetlight in front of my house that would shine through the windows right into my eyes as I was trying to watch TV. Now the light is totally diffuse (but you can still see there is a light outside) and not glaring, much more enjoyable to watch TV now.
I've no complaints on this product at all.

I bought this film to put on the 9 mini windows on my side door. The film was easy to install and provided the privacy I needed as well as the natural light. Once installed, there were some air bubbles that took some work to remove. Overall I am satisfied and hope they will last a while.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jackie Looks great!
The etched glass window film looks great on our entry door windows. We wanted something plain but attractive since we just remodeled and went for a contemporary look. This is perfect. My husband put it up in about 20 minutes, and there's no sign of it peeling at all. We've had it up for about 2 months. Great product so far.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by edm20 Did not provide privacy
Don't quite understand why people gave this product 5 stars:
#1: It was way too expensive for such a product
#2: It simply did not provide any privacy at all. We tested it at night with the light on inside and you could see everything (and yes, we installed correctly).
Removed it from the sidelight and decided to use it on a glass front storage cabinet. Nope! Can see everything inside the cabinet. Then installed it on the front AND back of the glass door to see what would happen and it didn't make any difference. Could actually read the labels on jars from outside!
The only good thing is it was very easy to install using a credit card as a tool. No need to buy the kit as far as I could determine.
