What preparation is required for this product

BEHR 1-Gallon Satin Enamel Latex White Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint
Asked by: Anonymous
I just pressure washed my brick the day before applying this paint. I did not use anything else than water to clean the brick. I used an airless sprayer to apply the paint. It went on flawlessly and looks great. I applied 2 coats.

will this produce fill hair line cracks in stucco

will this produce fill hair line cracks in stucco
Asked by: sam
Hi sam, Thanks for your question! This product was not designed to fill hairline cracks. If the cracks are wider than 1/16", we recommend routing them open, cleaning the surface to remove any dust or debris, then filling the cracks with a paintable filler first. Best wishes for your project! - Sara

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Product But Consult First This is a fantastic product, but this review is about Behr's technical advice. I am not a painter by trade, but choosing the right product for the right job is 90% of the job. I buy Behr paint at one of the "Box Stores" but I don't ask them for which product to use. I have seen people give poor reviews on products because they selected the wrong product for the application. I pick up the phone and call Behr's technical department, explain my project and they suggest the best product. Who do you think knows more about their products; the company who makes the product, or the 20 year old at the box store who has never painted before? I have lived in the same house in Arizona for almost 30 years. I have only used Behr paint and have painted each project more than once in 30 years, and I still call and ask. Why? Maybe they have a newer product than the previous product that is better. The Behr staff are extremely knowledgeable about all their products, friendly, and most helpful. If you choose the right Behr product, you will not be disappointed with the results! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the coverage and how quickly it dries I really liked when I painted it dried so quickly it allowed me to do a second coating and I loved the coverage and it didn't make a mess like other paints and it covered wonderfully the first time and I already told my friends that they would like it a lot when they asked for an advice on what to choose and also it cleans easily off your surfaces or where you paint and it comes off your brushes with a little scrubbing with soap and water

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paint! We have a back wall in our yard with cinder blocks. I didn't like the look of them and wanted to match the slate on our patio. So, I had the idea of making them look like slate. Worth a try--in order to save money. I bought this Behr Masonry, Stucco, and Brick paint in the colors that would match our slate. It turned out better than I thought and for A LOT less than having someone apply slate to our back wall. So happy with Behr products!!! Then sealed it with Behr Masonry Waterproofer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Hiding Ability A previous owner painted the slump block (a type of concrete brick) a glow-in-the-dark bright blue, and we used a cream color Behr Masonry Paint over that. It covered 97% of the blue in one coat, which we thought was pretty impressive. There are small areas where the blue shows through, but the slump block is a very uneven surface to paint. We'll see how it stands up to the brutal Arizona sun, but so far we are pleased with how nice it was to apply and how well it covered. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This paint FADES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I painted my house a bright yellow with this paint and it looked great, for a year or two. Originally my house looked so good neighbors said it helped our block win a city award. It quickly started to fade, however, and now, 5 years later, the paint color has faded tremendously. It almost looks like Navajo white. This may be a great product in white, but I would NOT recommend it in colors.
