Scott, thank you for writing a review!! Having installed a few toilet seats, I did not put on my glasses and read the instructions carefully once I got the gist of how to from the pictures. So the bolts stuck up so high I couldn't lift or close the seat. Great toilet seat, just don't miss the line where it says, "tighten the bolt until the top breaks off" because it's embarrassing to have to sit through a video on how to install a toilet seat!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Scott OK. No instructions and it needs them
No instructions were included and the Sta-tite system involves turning a plastic bolt until it breaks off. Had I not watched an install video it would have freaked me out when the piece broke off as it's supposed to. Closes silently. Fits a little crooked, but that could be the toilet, not the seat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hank great toilet seat an a WONDERFUL price too.
This product was 18 dollars other brands went to bout 50 dollars (for the same thing) so I tried it, It was great comfortable to sit on, soft close, easy to clea too.,
The install tok ten minutes because the space was tight and MY left wrist was in a support cast. But its very easy and ther is a you tube video you can watch first. This is another great deal at Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daniel Great seat, much sturdier than others
The seat works great, is elongated and a good white color to match our toilet. No issue with the seat having an overhang like some have complained. Have a normal elongated toilet I bought from HD as well last year.
The seat is sturdy and doesn't move like others I've dealt with and had to replace. The design for attaching to the bowl itself works well but would be better if the nuts could be screwed in as well. The seat needs to be attached using a ratchet underneath and there is no way to use a screwdriver from the top. So to install you essentially have to hug the toilet to install. Other than that I love the seat.
Super easy to clean as well and doesn't "stain" as easily as my last seat. Closes slowly but not super slow which I like due to our kids. Closes silently and opens easily. Highly recommend this seat especially due to the price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JET970 Slow close feature worth it
Overall we are happy with the Bemis slow close seats (we have two). They have been is use for at least a year and still look and function like new. Slow close feature is great. Never slam a seat/lid any more. Installation was fairly easy is a little more complex than average - the bolts fasten to the bowl and then the seat is fastened to the top of the bolts. Only problem is that the seats want to move a bit from side to side. Not enough to be a stability worry but enough that it is noticeable when you look at the closed seat.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by outoftime Easy to install and gets the job done
I picked this up when the cheap plastic seat that was installed by my landlord broke. This seat installs very solidly, and isn't at all wobbly like my previous one was. Installation is a snap. The lid will bend when you sit on it, but it seems flexible enough that I'm not too worried about it breaking. Generally a great value for the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GinVA Good product for the price
Bought this plastic seat to replace a 10 yr old wooden one. It took me longer to get the old one off than it did to get the new one installed. Installation was EASY and QUICK. For the price this seat appears to be well worth the price compared to other that were at least double the money. We have this one in our main floor half bathroom so the kids use it all the time therefore we figured the slow closing seat and cover option was a good idea. And it was. We never hear the slamming of the toilet seat anymore. So far its easy to clean since its molded plastic and it doesn't seem to deform too bad when sitting on it, but I guess that does depend on your weight.....
Also this product is made in the USA in case you look for those sort of things.
Overall we are very please with the purchase.
