Answer:
This is a "universal" fit cover for elongated toilets. Elongated toilets are pretty much all the same specifications. If you are really that concerned about it being an "exact" fit, you should make a cardboard template of the top of your Glacier Bay and take it to the HD store and match it up with the seats on display there. It should be fine.

Answer:
Yes. All elongated seats are the same. To make sure, remove your seat and bring it to the store for comparison. I have never run across a replacement elongated seat that did not fir the model of toilet we had (i.e., Kohler, Glacier & some other no-name models).

We love that new seat too, so here we go, I'll see if I can tell you how to do that. Start by lifting the flaps, then pull up on the hinges and seat at the same time, it may be stuck so just wiggle it abet. Hope that works for you. Marty

Answer:
If you lift the flaps that cover the "bolts", and then give the entire seating assembly a sharp upward jerk, it will unsnap. To reinstall, simply lineup the pins back in the holes and snap in back down in place. The flaps then lock it in place.

What it says is "close front" meaning that it is closed across the front of the seat. An "open front" would mean it is horse shoe shaped.

Open front would be like in some public bathrooms where the toilet seat doesn't make a complete loop, but is more of a U shape. Closed front seats come all the way around in front and make an O shape.

Good Morning,
The easiest way to describe a closed front seat is the ring forms a complete circle. Closed front seats are almost always in residential homes. Where open fronts are mainly used in commercial use applications.

Slow Close Lift-Off Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat in White is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 238.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the others We just refinished our bathrooms and had new Kohler Memoirs toilets put in. We also ordered the Kohler Cachet seats thinking that they would work for us. We quickly came to find that they were not comfortable and turned our attention to this seat. Overall, it's a good value and comfortable seat. Mounting it was pretty easy, although there is not much adjustment ability once you mount it. Just a little crooked, no matter what we try. The break-away nuts on the plastic bolts help prevent over tightening. Do not sit on this seat or the cover if you have buttons or tabs on your jeans, otherwise, it will get scuffed easily.

I replaced some wood lids of a different brand that were already showing signs of deterioration. They are wood and wood tends to stain. I hoping that the seal that seems to be better than some will allow them to hold up and last longer. The plastic equivalents just seem too light and may not close or close as efficiently. It's difficult to gauge in the store since they are vertical and don't close the same as when vertical. These are the first slow close I've purchased and so far I like them. Kids tend to let lids slam so this reduces the noise, possibly pinched hands/fingers and less damage to the lid.

Upgraded a builder grade toilet to a new Kohler and had read reviews indicating that the Kohler seat was less than desirable. I chose this seat based upon two specific needs: 1) Quality / durability of the build. I was not interested in a flimsy plastic seat; 2) Soft close was a must, as anti-slam is a must have. This seat fit the bill and wasn't unreasonably priced. I'm pleased with the quality, the rigidity, the comfort of the seat, and the soft close. Installation was simple and the color matches with the porcelain.

Unfortunately, it did not work on my Kohler San Raphael. I ended up getting model # K-4713-0, which is the proper replacement seat for the Kohler. The Bemis might have worked had I purchased additional hardware. The problem is that the Kohler San Raphael does not have exposed bolts and nuts. The bolts are not exposed since they go into the toilet itself. The Kohler seat comes with two sets of hardware so should fit on all types of toilets. I returned the Bemis without any problems.

I purchased this wooden seat to replace the plastic one that came with my Kohler toilet. It feels very solid underneath my bottom, unlike the plastic seat that flexed badly. The slow-close feature took some getting used to after a lifetime of manually lowering toilet seats. My impression after a few weeks of use is that "slow close" is not a particularly noteworthy advancement in toilet seat amenities. The "sta-tite" nuts for the bolts that secure the seat to the toilet snap off when the proper tightening torque is reached. This feature works only the first time the seat is installed, and since seats have to be removed on occasion for cleaning under the hinge caps, it would be helpful to know the recommended tightening torque when reinstalling. The seat was "Proudly made in the USA."

It was more difficult to install than I expected. Since the toilet seat is designed to be removed(which I don't need), the locking tabs are removable. Problem: they don't lock into place, and will pop off when closing the toilet cover, which causes the seat to come off. I found a way to secure the locking tabs(losing the removable option), but I like the seats solid construction.
