what do I need so I can water 6 more containers?

Asked by: Jake
You would need 6 more emitters, “T” fittings, and enough ¼” tubing to reach the containers. You may also opt to use stakes to hold the emitters in place.

How do I connect the drip tubing to the PVC pipe?

Asked by: Anonymous
The 1/4" tubing slips into the small end of the cone-shaped swivel adapter. The swivel adapter is designed to screw onto a standard spigot or the end of a garden hose (see illustration on the back of the circular clamshell insert). To connect the swivel adapter to a PVC supply you would need a "PVC to hose thread adapter". These adapters are available in female-to-male or male-to-male configuration (depending upon how you intend to connect to the supply). You can also connect the 1/4" tubing to 1/2" Drip Distribution Tubing using a barbed coupling (included in the kit) if that is an option.

Customer Reviews

Blue Stripe Drip Starter Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic drip-kit I planted six grape vines and five roses along our driveway, and decided to give drip-irrigation a try, as I have read this is how grape vines prefer to be watered. I ordered 3 starter kits to ensure I could cover all plants along the driveway and an additional 3 grape vines growing up and around our deck. The kits arrived. The instructions were simple and it took me a couple of hours to get every one of the 14 plants 'hooked up'. I added a simple 'egg-timer' cut-off to the faucet... Now I can go and turn that to 20-30 minutes on my way from the garage to the front door, and not worry about forgetting to turn off the water... It makes starting new plants that need regular watering wonderfully easy and I recommend it highly!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty nice If I turn the water up so the tips sprinkle they pop off....can't get the water regulated so I can leave it on for a long time at a slow drip

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but has a problem be careful installing the little drip heads. Had one blow in the middle of the night and the water bill reflected it at the end of the month. It blew where the stem attaches to the hose and we went from 0.5 gpm to several GPM. An interim fix is to turn the tap on a quarter way insted of on full.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Works well for hanging baskets on Porch - no need to lift them up/down off hooks for watering every night. Coupled with a timer based shut-off valve (purchased for $5 elsewhere), set it and forget it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Will work with my rain barrel if.. I bought this to try and use with my Rain Barrel. The water pressure in the barrel is not enough to make the drip caps work, however I will be able to make some “custom” changes to the tubes and it will end up meeting my needs.. This would work great with a timer attached to a normal water exterior faucet.
