Answer:
Thanks for your question. The SDS-Max bits are too large to fit into the SDS-Plus rotary hammers. We do not make an adapter as most of the SDS-Max bits are too large for the capacity for the SDS-Plus hammers to handle.

Answer:
No. Needs a large chuck size, and isn't really 'small enough' for a rechargeable drill, it needs a powerful corded drill.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. This bit is designed to be used with SDS-Max rotary hammers. It may fit in a standard drill, however the chuck will not be able to hold the bits properly. Also, most standard drill motors will not be able to handle this large of a bit.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Bosch SDS Max bit for my box Another quality bit to go with my Bosch SDS hammer. The bit has a very strong head design, sort of an X on wings that go out from the center point. It's a good angle for drilling concrete, and the head will sever rebar or wire that gets in the way before it wraps the spiral. Also, I've has a Bosch 1" spiral bit that is many years old. Worn, beaten, and well used, but never broken, and still useful. Just like my over decade over Bosch 11241EVS hammer. Good tools, good company, and another good drill bit. July 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bosch tough! This is one tough bit that drills thru concrete with little to no real effort & gets it done in short order. I've used other smaller diameter Bosch carbide rotary bits for years & their holding up well to whatever I need to drill into. I had a project where I needed to drill to many 1 1/2" holes to count into solid concrete. Before commencing, I scanned concrete surface to ensure there wasn't any re-bar where the holes needed to be (this isn't meant to drill thru steel). While drilling the 1st hole, I was pleasantly surprised with just how fast I was able to drill 4" by just letting my SDS-Max hammer drill combined with this bit to do their thing. Needless to say all the holes were drilled in less than 1/2 the time I had allotted which allowing me to complete project in 1 day VS 2. The bit showed very little wear & tear, so I know it should last my lifetime, just like my other Bosch bits. June 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Carbide Steel 1-1/2 Rotary Hammer bit The drill was excellent. Good quality steel, went into weathered masonry like a knife through butter. Using a powered drill (Makita) it did everything needed, and drilled the reqired number of holes, over several days. After this use, it was used on ceramic tile for pipes for a shower unit and was still sharp and effective. A really good Drill bit. May 20, 2016
