The manual simply states that you "insert the cable into the drum and continue doing so until installation is complete". Is it that simple? Or does the end need to attach to something internally?

Answer:
It connects to nothing. Just feed it into the drum. You should not extend the full length. Keep at least a foot in the drum. If you lose the cable into the pipe, you could be digging up floors or taking out walls.

Answer:
That will be almost impossible. You probably need another person to hold the drum and rotate it while you push the cable in.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A replacement part. It is a little light for the job and it is the third unit I've replaced. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value The cable is as advertised. It does a great job and is easy to use. Others have written that the cable kinks and breaks. That will only happen if the drum spins too fast. The rotation should be slow because the auger will bind when it hits the obstruction. March 16, 2014
