Installed frame plumb and square, but doors did not close flush as the bottom is off by at least 1/2". I had a professional come in to see if it could be adjusted to close properly and after a couple of hours of trying to adjust, he was able to get the doors flush but the frame was then so out of square so the doors did not fully open without scraping floor and the trim would not have installed properly. As mentioned in other reviews, it absolutely does not close flush with the frame plumb and square. I am getting a warranty replacement, but I had spent several hours sanding and staining this door which I will now get to do all over again. This time I will completely install the door first to make sure it closes properly, then disassemble to stain. I wish I had paid a few extra hundred dollars on a better door and avoided all the delays, headaches, expenses, and inconveniences associated with this product.

Hinges were upside down on one of the doors. Doors were not aligned correctly...hinges were off by 3/4" compared to opposite door. Screws holding the heavy glass to the jamb were only 1/2" screws. My professional contractors made it work but said this brand is the worst out there. I had to buy a single pre-hung french door on order at L.... to make sure I got a different brand. Home Depot only carries one brand......you can't miss it!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Redec4Fun Door is great; Installation - not so much
The quality of the door is about what you'd expect for the price paid. The doors are not aligned with one another, but not sure if this is the product or the abysmally poor installation.
We trusted Home Depot's installer - huge mistake! The concepts of "level" and "square" eluded him. The result is unacceptable, so we will pay someone else to remove the door and reinstall it correctly.
The installer also left all the scrap lumber and material on our front porch. We were told that we would have had to pay an extra charge to have scrap materials removed. This would be a good thing to mention to customers at the time of purchase.

Not an easy installation. Took over 4 hours to hang as adjustments needed to be made to allow the doors to close with ease and to hang evenly. We went a head and stained the door and then noticed that the one door is slightly warped - and now can not take it back for replacement. Not sure what caused that but was noticable prior to hanging. Instructions provided could have been more detailed. Would not recommend this door to someone that has no carpentry experience.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bemity Beautiful and easy to install
These doors were professionally installed for me, and I was told they were easy to install. The doors stay closed by a ball/socket closing mechanism on the top that is not designed to "lock" or "latch" the doors, so they are easily opened with pressure applied by pet or child.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BCW79 Looks good from a far. Quality issues.
Looks good, price was right but the door quality is the problem. Poor QA from the manufacturer. Hinge screws are not flush causing the door closing not to be flush. Hopefully over time the wood will settle causing it to be a bit less uneven at the bottom.

This French door unit was easy to install, it stained beautifully, and closes off my office from the foyer with style and function.

This door can be stained to go with the rest of the room and I'll be able to see what is going on in the other room.
