Product Overview

The Campbell Hausfeld air cleaner/dryer system (PA208503AV) cleans air and removes water vapor at the point of use to help support applications that require oil-free, moisture-free air, like spray painting. Two separate systems condition the air: An oil-removal filter traps 99.9 percent of all oil aerosols and a desiccant system removes water vapor. An outlet screen keeps desiccant particles from entering the airstream, protecting air tools. The desiccant changes color when it needs to be changed or recharged, providing an easily visible reminder. The cleaner/dryer system includes a quick-release bowl for easily viewing the fluid level and is protected against impact by metal guards. A quarter-turn drain makes maintenance easier. Answer:
The moisture from the coalescing filter should be manually drained before every use. The dessicant filter should be replaced when it turns pink. The filter element will need to be replaced when the service indicator pops up.

Desiccant Dryer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Desiccant Dryer Model # PA208503AV Have owned the product for three weeks. Appears to work fine under very humid conditions. Very good product for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Unit. Bought this to do my blasting, powder coating and painting in my home shop.I also got the CH filter/reguator to go before it. No complaints so far other than that the dessicant bowl could have been at least twice the size. Replacement parts are sold by CH on the internet (you can also re-dry the dessicant). Great value other units are way out of my price range and other sites have this unit listed for almost twice the price! Good buy(s).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit on the small side. It works great but with the amount of air that I put through it while sandblasting/soda blasting, the desiccant needs to be changed every couple of hours. There were absolutely no leaks and I still wouldn't have spent 4 times as much for a bigger one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EASY TO USE The replacement filer and desiccant media are hard to find. Home Depot should check into stocking these items.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product is cheaply made Product is cheaply made and not worth the money. It is definitely a disposable part even though I could have gotten a much better one for less money if I would have not purchased from Home Depot

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can Not Locate Replacement Parts!!! It seems to do exactly what you think it would.. Performs perfectly.. except that you can't find replacement parts.. Even at the Campbell Hausfeld website the picture of the desiccant beads shows "Image not found" and a dead link. I'm sure any other desiccant beads will work just fine... I'm looking for a replacement thin blue screen/filter that goes outside the actual filter and.. absolutely no way. I've looked everywhere from Amazon to Ebay, Sears, Home Depot... Bottom line: This thing has consumables. The beads will only last a day or so. You can not find Campbell Hausfeld replacements. You'll be using a different brand and hoping it works. Anything outside of desiccant are unavailable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Campbell Hausfeld We have used Campbell Hausfeld products before with very good results. Home Depot had this item listed at a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's supposed to do This filter/dryer works as designed. It is geared more for the hobbiest it is NOT designed to move massive amounts of air. I paint cars (bumpers and such, not whole cars) for a living and clean dry air is mandatory. Works great for what I use. Draining the tank through the air hose was a bit much for the dessicant to handle. Made a remote drain under the tank and the dessicant has remained blue after 2 weeks of daily use.
