I live in Castaic, California, which is on the northern fringe of LA, behind some mountains, and the CM3020 was still able to receive a bunch of stations including 2 CBS, 4 NBC, 5 KTLA, 7 ABC, 9 KCAL, 11 KTTV, 13 KCOP, 28 KCET, plus others like ME TV, KDOC, KLCS, etc. I tried other antennas, but I had to return them because they just wouldn't pick up very many channels. Finally I took a chance on a higher priced CM3020 antenna, and it works great! It was totally worth the money to get rid of the monthly Dish Network bills and headaches.

I live in Rancho Cucamonga which is about 50 miles away from Los Angeles. I have tried numerous antennas with no luck. This is by far the best antenna out there. All the channels are very clear but you have to be careful on the lenght of your cable/wiring. You will drop a couple of channels if your cable is too long...which you might need a signal amplifier. I get all the channels including CBS and ABC which are the hardest to get in my area.
I installed this antenna in the attic...the antenna is very, very long so make sure you have enough space.
The antenna does not come with a mast, which you need. Make sure you buy one.
You will also need the roof/attic mount.

Stations are about 30 miles away and I could get them with just a four foot mast in the ground. I mounted it to the roof now and getting stations 60 miles away no problem using a 3ft tripod and 5 ft mast and a 12 dB signal amplifier.

I bought this because I was going to cut the cord from Cable and it does just that. I live in the southern NH area and I am able to pick up all the Boston channels and even some that I didn't know where out there. I DO highly recommend that you get the 7778 signal booster if you are going to use it for the whole house. I also mounted this in the attic and it works great there, was really easy to dial into the majority of the channels that I want.
The only other thing that I might do is get a rotation unit to fine tune channels when the weather is not good. Other than that I am very happy with this product and would recommend it. Just check out antennawebto check what channels you can get in your area based on your location and your elevation.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by clint Seems to be great
I've been using this product for about a month now and am overall happy with it. It assembles easy enough thankfully because the instructions are terrible. I get great reception for all my local channels (35-55 miles to towers) and good reception when aiming toward nearest metro towers (75+ miles away). It doesn't come with a mast or mounting hardware. I used a fence post for a mast found in my local HD intended for chain link fence, it works wonderfully. I have a pretty decent run of cable to my tuners (150+ feet), with a couple splitters along the way. Do notice some signal loss there, which I had expected. Overall it is great.
